DAY ONE. ONE.

I got this for £40. Beautiful, isn't it?

I particularly like the way all the paint and lacquer was falling off and the b/b was all rusty.

    DAY SEVENTEEN. SEVENTEEN.

After leaving it fester in the shed where I keep the lawn mower, I put some wheels on it so it was easier to push into a corner and left it in the staff accomodation as it smelt bad.

i also threw some brakes and 'bars on it to see how it would look.

you'll have noticed that I sanded all the paint off

this took, contrary to popular clubbie opinion, no skill at all and took about 3 hours using wet n dry from the petrol station, a bottle and a half on Barollo and some damn mean tunes on the hi-fi.

Don't let anyone tell you different guys, this stuff ain't difficult.

DAY EIGHTEEN TO NINETY FOUR. EIGHTEEN TO NINETY FOUR.

This took so long because I lost the frame. It turned up in the back of a car I don't use very often.

I also went away for work to keep you guys safe, 'cos I'm nice like that.

Upon my return I went to take a load of cardboard to Edwyn and found the frame.

I had a specialized version of that frame. You are going to be impressed by how, um, 'comfortable' it is. The bottom bracket would move from side to side impressively when pedaling.

I really wish I'd kept it mind you.

DAY ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHT. DAY ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHT.

In keeping with the mistaken belief that Ultegra is wonderful, I bought this brand new for less than the price of an Ultegra cassette

You should make sure you bought round wheels for it. Hand built ones are the only properly round ones.

Nice dura ace box though. How much less than an Ultegra cassette was it?

They’re incredibly flexy. Untouchably cool though.

It is an interesting feeling when the back wheel bounces side to side on rough roads.
  • I used to have a really sexy one, sanded and clearcoated. Was way too small for me, sadly. Sold it.

I can do it so that should tell you all you need to know. 😉
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

DAY ONE HUNDRED AND FOURTEEN. ONE HUNDRED AND FOURTEEN.

I decided it needed a groupset and as Ultegra isshit I left the 8000 one I have in there there and bought this down.

Its older but far better, lighter, prettier, functions better and has won PRO Grand Tours and Monuments unlike Ultegra.

a post to clamp a seat onto. This is the stupid expensive around £200 Ritchey one that I picked up new and boxed for £20 them promptly fropped on the floor of Efwyns whilst shopping and dinged it.

I'd be concerned about the durability of the rattle can paint job.

It also has a Dura Ace b/b.
