Nope.
Drove one, wasn’t impressed.

Just to get some perspective here, what's your current car that you prefer?

That's a totally different question. And the answer is "no" if I were to actually need to use it, because I couldn't carry anything in it.
I am, however, since you are offering, as likely as not to sell it immediately and do some house repairs. Thereby keeping my current car which is a bit more practical.

Most cars with a bit of poke. You can be low powered but light. Astons seem to be high powered and heavy. Not as much fun.

If you can afford one then surely you can also afford a practical runabout as well? But that's a different question...

Don't be shy 😉

I’m not getting into a “my car is better than your car” debate.
I drove a Vantage. I didn’t like it. Subjective opinion. End of.

I don't own a Vantage so it's not my my car vs your car.
But if you prefer a VW Golf or something like that, each to their own 😊

Each to their own. Precisely.
You asked. I answered.

Would certainly be my car of choice if I ever win the Lottery I never buy a ticket for (although with a Euro Millions win I’d have a DB5 too).

What's the 'and' bike?

If you need to ask how much it is,.you can't afford it.
How much is it?

I'm sure it has nothing to do with the likelihood that you can't afford it.

I can't afford it .Can I borrow yours?

If money was no object, and they still made them, a Rapide would be more me.
But no, I am not in the Aston Martin demographic.

It was a Cake Stoppy type of reaction.
And no you can't.

My Bonneville is 3 weeks older than I am, really should finish it. I had one of the last air cooled Ducati SSs, were compared to Ferraris in some adverts as I recall. That was a fun bike. Faster than most cars, certainly as far as acceleration is concerned. Lots of fun too.

Hmm - Lotus I would normally say good. But not keen on a big battery powered SUV.

It's a lot of money to pay to save the planet from Armageddon.

That's a bit better, but it's still an SUV.

Is this now the 'my car is faster/more expensive than your car thread'. All the while, missing out on the essential ingredient: what's driving 'x' like?
I have comparisons galore having owned everything from Mini's (4 of them), to Fiesta's (MK 2 XR2, MK 1 popular plus, MK 4 1.6s - great little car, died of tin worm) Fiat Tipo 1.7 (sh*t off a shovel), Rover SD1 (3.5L V8; great in a straight line), Porsche 911, Mercedes W202 AMG, Mercedes w123 230e etc. Plus I have driven a Dutton kit car with a 1700 cross flow (frighteningly quick and noisy) Ferrari 308 (it really wasn't much fun in town and traffic), a Nissan skyline R33 (too stiff and too quick for roads) and a Toyota twin turbo Supra (unbelievably quick) to name a few.
The conclusion is that you do not need to have power to have fun. Travelling in a straight line at 100+ is pretty dull. Cornering at 35 round a hairpin in a Mini is fun. Going around a set of sweeping bends in the 944 puts a smile on my face like no other car I have driven/owned. If you are addicted to high speed and acceleration, you become anaesthetised to fun of driving. The process eliminates the inexplicable thing that you cannot put your finger on that made the car great in the first place. The constant pursuit of power and speed renders many restorations to the soul less category and puts many modern cars into the hypothetical - '...if I took it on the Autobahn...'. You don't live in Germany so how often can you drive the Aston DBs/Vantage/DB 11 at the speeds it's capable of ffs?. The Germans are not immune to some very high speed crashes. I bet Stevo's boss lives in or around London. It's just a show piece.
If I had the sort of money to buy something special, it would be one the the cars the Alfaholics put together. Like the The Guilia 105:

Here endeth the lesson?
If you bothered to read upthread I just posted what my boss had just bought as I reckoned a few people might be interested. So its not a case of my car is better than your car.
But do let us know if there's a maximum price limit on what we're allowed to post pics of without offending your sensibilities 😉
