No medal for Belgium ...seems unfair
"If I was a 38 year old man, I definitely wouldn't be riding a bright yellow bike with Hello Kitty disc wheels, put it that way. What we're witnessing here is the world's most high profile mid-life crisis" Afx237vi Mon Jul 20, 2009 2:43 pm
  • Great ride and I'm sure Cav will be quick to congratulate him.
  • Excellent ride by Pidcock.

    Brilliant race, brilliant win.

Can they have it in Flanders every year?
It's only a bit of sport, Mun. Relax and enjoy the racing.

He said that WvA is too willing to lose rather than going for it and risk dragging others with him. Said he needs to attack more.

People used to criticise Sagan for the opposite and towing others around.

I don't think he had it in his legs today though, never looked like the strongest rider which is unusual. Same with MvdP. Unfortunately Pidcock realised he couldn't cover everything himself and so seemed to opt for following those two.

Hard habit to break when you've done it your whole career ;)

It must be super difficult to have a once in a lifetime opportunity to win the Worlds in your home country, work the whole season to be the nominated rider, Spend the whole week being touted by your national news, but then wake up on the morning before, and say, "You know what boys, I don't think I'm on a good day today".

Every other part of your brain must be thinking it's ok, you'll ride yourself in, it's just nerves etc
