    Shenanigans in the peloton on the cat 4. Guillame Martin & a helper attack, Van Aert catches them and rides by like they're amateurs. Peloton splits, all top 10 are there but van Aert decides to drive the group anyway. Might be some winds to make it hard?

    Weird thing to do. Drive the top 10 hard the last 7 km then lead out a sprint. Guess Vingegaard wasn't lying when he said he wanted the race harder

    The headwind didn't help but really, that profile says it all: breakaway day, GC boys to take a casual day.

    WvA is training for the Olympics. That is the main objective (for him).
