Would be terrible if we had some massive crosswinds on Stage 13...

Well I did enjoy the Pog v Carapaz duel for the 200 metres or so that it lasted.

25 minutes behind the GC group, 3 days behind Pogacar

5 minutes now between Pogacar and the nearest GC contender.

Very useful. Pogacar might need those.

Did I half hear Ned say that reinstated riders loose all their points these days?

The finish is uphill a bit isn't it?

Last 800m is slightly uphill, from the final tight left hander.

    This is bonkers from Pogacar.
When did we last see something like this?

Pogacar did the same thing last year after his crash, when he unleashed 7W/kg.

But now we do not have the Jumbo-Visma train so now it looks more spectacular.

I mean Pog is very light and he smashed a flat big ring TT so we can’t be that surprised

  • Smart riding, no need to take risks, he's made his point and crushed everyone.
  • I guess this will at least make the fights for breakaways more interesting, as pretty much anyone can be allowed up the road and not be a threat :D

I've heard it argued that he is the greatest rider of the 21st century.

He seems to have an extra 200 watts over everyone else.

    It's probably 0.3-0.4 W/kg over the rest

From the doc in my previous post (my bolding):
In cases where riders who have finished
outside the time limit are reinstated by the president
of the commissaires’ jury, they will forfeit all of the
points they have gained in the various secondary
    classifications
    .

    Time limit is 37:33

Getting to the point where Carapaz may as well chill out too and just control his likely looking second place 😕
