Ned and Dave excellent value right now.

"And we must remember he's had a long and glorious Tour de France career..."
"Yes, but there's always the argument he would have had a much more glorious career had he not crashed so often."

You can't really disagree with that

Anybody got an update on the Jawbones?

Hee hee, if you're on GCN, go back and Look. Rowe is holding them, Gee and Rowe fistbump and Rowe literally kicks them to the side of the road (next to the bike wreckage to be fair). I suspect it may come up on the podcast 😋

Did he say Thomas might have had a more glorious tdf career if he'd taken some drugs too?

Wasn't by name but the implication was clear...

A bit harsh, he hasn't very often caused them.

He reads the road ahead poor and doesn't avoid them . Follows wrong wheels into corners on descents more often than the average rider .

Yeah, but Gesink and Martin should have enough experience between them to have realised his isn't the wheel to follow.

The roads feel a bit Dutch today with all the traffic calming. Doesn't bode well for when things hot up.

    He's back.
2018 remains his only crash free Tour.

I'm beginning to think it's written in his contract, so that the team get more tv coverage at the Tour.

    ......crashes, not ar$es, that is.

Time gap still drifting down - presumably the result of it stringing out. There's no sign of teams trying to move up, so they're not worried about anything, which makes the pace a little more curious.

Small enough for someone to want to close it before the intermediate sprint in about 35km, which would make the last 50km unpredictable

It's going back out again now though, so presumably someone's had a word about just that risk.

That shoulders going to bloody ache tonight, with another three weeks to go. It's definitely the toughest sport around.

Schelling drops back to the bunch - job done! The Spotty Jersey is his for a few days.

Maybe not a good look to drop off immediately, rather than pace them for a few km to say thanks?
