Doesn't seem to be making much effort to get back to the bunch. Almost 3 minutes behind. Haven't got a clue what happened there.

Tony Martin must be wondering what he's done to offend the cycling gods.

Surprised that no one is dropping back, considering he's 3 minutes adrift.

He still looks slow, 3mins down.

    Absolutely pouring with rain now.

Are Ineos going back for Thomas? He’s 3 minutes behind the peloton already.

Just reached his car in the convoy, by the looks of it. Another small cost of not being up higher in the standings.

This is odd, if he's continuing he needs to try to get back as he isn't going to ride 140km solo.

Now has Rowe spotting an opportunity to gain valuable time in the Lantern Rouge.

Has he lost his jawbones again?

If he didn't in the crash, he did when Luke drop-kicked them away... 😂

    Gesink out?

Right is a Cardiff two up (plus a bit of help from the team car)

Took those other serial crashers down with him. Martin up but Gesink abandons.

Ever since he dared have an argument with Rowe, I doubt it's a coincidence.

Gesink is indeed being widely reported as having abandoned too

Yeah Bernie reported in Gesink being out.

Laugh at Millar saying the support crew are making stuff up to push Thomas along.

Looks more comfortable now, gap down to just over 2 minutes and will be in the cars soon I should think. Things are calm at the front (although I wouldn't put it past Movistar or Astana to attack!).

Thomas might have had a dislocated shoulder, why he looked so off.

The bright side of all this, of course, is that it's interrupted the non-stop and almost certainly jinxatious talking about Mark Cavendish,

Ooof, Millar giving Gee a bit of a kicking here...

Dislocated Shoulder that went back in is what I guessed.

Yeah, dislocated shoulder put back in by the race doctors. Not fun. It looks like he’s getting back but it’s going to be a pretty miserable day for him.

No obvious sign of his collarbone playing up, his position looks fine. Not much in the way of road rash either.

See that crash coming from a week ago ... He must be in agony . It's a tough sport

Dislocation popped back in, the team are obviously more confident in him now. Should be enough time for the pain to go before the mountains, TT may be uncomfortable though.

What did he say - crash prone or...?

Ned and Dave excellent value right now.

Crash prone, and then how it takes out other people 'Who have worked so hard for months'

Wasn't by name but the implication was clear...
