    Don't get why Movistar and Quickstep didn't try to shell Colbrelli on the climb if Valverde and Asgreen are looking to sprint for the stage. Reduced peloton just rode up the climb at threshold. Seems rather stupid.

    Movistar only had their GC riders left in the front group (Mas & Lopez). Quick Step had no-one. There wasn't much more they could do. And Colbrelli a really good climber.

    However, some Viking news: Jonas Vingegaard 15 seconds faster than Sweeny at the intermediate check point.

    Looked like Thomas was having issues with his gears. He seemed to be looking down quite a lot and spinning out / freewheeling on the downhill then struggling to get the gear over on the climb.
