It's getting sold this year - bit difficult to shift in the last 12 months when there were no uplifts running. The Spicy can do light DH duty if I go back to it.

    Twice a day.
I wasn't going to say that.
unless they're stopped and have 12-hour dials, they're probably not right even twice a day
That applies to to most of mine - not going to buy winders for them and they have 12 hr dials unless you count the GMTs.

Day done. Loads of people in the office, as the CFO is rotating back to Japan, and people are saying goodbye (lots of bowing), and also getting stuff signed off that might need too much explaining for the new guy. My boss also in, so a good 90 minute chat with him about what we need to be doing. 30 mins with head of legal on various topics. 3 or 4 productive calls, more and more impressed with latest minion.

It'll be nice to have the option to wfh if that comes about, but I much prefer the office.

Quick beer, then early kernigget, as shyte sleep last night on the sofa due to "excessive snoring".

Japanese. Even I did a bow, but just the one, rather than repeatedly! Hopefully I did it right.

Yeah, I got that, it was just in light of the Meghan markle revelation that the family have to bow to the queen even in private...

I used to work for a Japanese company. I remember one time, when something went wrong and one of the managers was literally on his knees bowing forgiveness from the department head. Pretty sure it wasn't his fault either.

Are these yours? What am I missing?? If you are in the UK, then why on the Omega is the GMT hand showing “ 1 “ when the time hands say a bit after 4? The other watch also looks wrong?

Nice. Prefer the oris of the two. Not keen on the modern seamasters, even the James Bond sexiness element doesn’t do it for me. As for GMT’s, the complexities of time travel fuddle my brain. I need V68 to sit me down and talk me through it.

Same, the Oris does it for me. Though if I get a GMT I'd like it on a bright rubber strap as a holiday/weekend/travelling watch. The black and orange Planet Ocean GMT on a blue rubber or something. I have enough dour tasteful watches for now!

The GMT hand on the Omega is set to the time of our head office in the Kingdom of Far Far Away (Tokyo - GMT +9) so I know when I'm not going to be annoyed.

The other one - and I'm not making a cheap Aussie joke here  - has the pic upside down for some reason - I took it the right way up, honest... It's showing 3.34 on the watch.

Have a look at the Oris website - they sometimes do a few special editions of the Aquis with dayglo rubber straps. Trouble is they're integrated straps so not easy to sort something out after you've bought it.

PO GMT is nice if you want to splash the cash but there's nout wrong with dour watches. What else have you got if you don't mind me asking?

That Seamaster is from c.2006 so not a new one. The news ones do cost a bit. Not sure why you want V68 to explain something complex? :p

OK, so 1am in Tokyo is your 4pm the previous day. That works.

The Oris has 3.34 time, with GMT hand = 10? What's that set for then!?

Hayden, how about something like this?

    Or this?

As for GMT’s, the complexities of time travel fuddle my brain. I need V68 to sit me down and talk me through it.
Time travel fuddles a lot of brains, especially sci-fi writers so they should leave it well alone as they wind up with something that makes no sense. They should travel back in time and have a word with their former selves.

People will say that skiing is a dangerous sport and "you'll break something". Well they lie like stevos cheap watches. Its an hour spent on an ice rink after a days skiing in Sestriere that breaks stuff.

My watches are very truthful I'll have you know HD.
    Twice a day.
I wasn't going to say that.
unless they're stopped and have 12-hour dials, they're probably not right even twice a day
That applies to to most of mine - not going to buy winders for them and they have 12 hr dials unless you count the GMTs.
That reminds me, I need a GMT.

No winder needed for my current daily, partly because it's a daily but also because it's got a 70hr reserve

Will look into them, I always have a soft spot for Oris.

Don't mind at all, I have a Black Bay 58 on steel, an original 60s Oris 65 (a bit worse for wear, now also on steel), a speedmaster 3511.50, an SKX013 and a hipster gold casio worldtimer.

I was going to buy the reissue Oris 65 for the wedding but when it was postponed I found the original beaten up one on ebay just for fun. Then my wife decided to get me the 58 as a wedding present which she gave me on the original wedding date, and I subsequently wore it for the wedding in October.

The speedy was a present to myself in September because it looks awesome and I was I had an ultimate yuppie reason to celebrate at the time ;)

I've had the SKX for ages, currently looking good on a tropic strap for when I'm out on site and things.

I'd be interested to hear more about your collection but the entire BB might be bored to tears after this post!

I'm tempted to tell you on here because it will annoy Pinno even more >:) and I don't want Seano coming round and ransacking my house while I'm out. So yep I'll leave it off here for now and PM you shortly...
