    Morning folks,
Another day of wfh as I can't wftod as she is supposed to be isolating. Sh'es not very good at it though and keeps going out for walks as sshe can't stand the thought of having to stay in. At least she goes for walks on her own. Still waiting for patches on the computer system so an element of twiddling my thumbs becasse still suffering with cba. Been looking at chainsets and should also look at rims, although I should count the number of holes in the XD hub I have. Or just buy a new hub.
It's not good when they say things like that WS. I once heard a nurse laugh on seeing an X-ray of my ribs and blurt out "Wow! Even I can see they're phucked." Unfortunately I never got a copy of that one, it really was spectacular and the ribs have been commented on a couple of times since when having other chest X-rays. But to keep the MFs happy I can give them the finger.

    nice - grazie

That's how I got mine, hence the funny reflection down the middle of it. Yours looks like a comprehensive break, if a job's worth doing...

Well that hurt. Arm AND wallet.

X-ray -> Ultra-sound -> elbow has tears in ligaments -> big needle stuck in it.

No bikes for a couple of days. Hell, cup of tea is a challenge.

    :(

Double ouch WS. If it makes you feel any better I have my final trip to the dentist tomorrow for my second implant after which he will send me a bill. Guess what my work private health cover specifically excludes....

Enjoying today - celebrating my victory over the wastes of oxygen in HR who were trying to thwart my tax mitigation strategy. CFO issued them with a JFDI notice and I'm now trying to be magnanimous in victory :) (one for our next techy geek call Hoppy, it has an interesting Japanese tax angle).

Yep it's cortisone they've tried today. He did say it would be "sore" tonight.

Had it years ago in both sides of my neck under CT scan. They were supposed to just get "close" to the nerves in my spine, but instead managed to stick the needle into it on one side (just). I nearly passed out on the table and threw up. Had to wait three hours to be let out to go home.

The injection was a total fail, not even one day "relief".

I am hoping for better result with this one. :-)

    That's Mrs HD's so I can't claim credit I'm afraid.

People will say that skiing is a dangerous sport and "you'll break something". Well they lie like stevos cheap watches. Its an hour spent on an ice rink after a days skiing in Sestriere that breaks stuff.

Well I have my fingers crossed for you. And I'm confident - honestly, it was miraculous for my dad.

I don't think you can expect to get much for $6m today, certainly nothing bionic.
Perhaps a bit of viagra and a few zimmers and that would be about it, I'm afraid.

unless they're stopped and have 12-hour dials, they're probably not right even twice a day

I once had this conversation with an idiot I worked with, he couldn't understand how a stopped watch could be correct more often than one that lost an hour a day. I had to stop trying to explain it to him as I was worried his stupid would rub off on me.

Builders down the road have been getting stuff brought onto site and setting fire to it.
Someone's rung the fire brigade, they've found the big unattended bonfire and now they're hunting him down.

Future me is now past me, took about 15-20% longer than normal because of the horrid headwind. Stayed dry both ways at least, looking for the positives and all that.

Even stronger wind tomorrow by the looks of things though...waaaaaa

In the past I've broken my wrist, elbow, ribs, jaw/teeth and some other stuff I can't remember. Nothing really gives me issues these days apart from occasionally not being able to turn my hand over from palm down to palm up, and also my neck is really stiff, clicky and painful since the crash where I broke my elbow. Didn't get it checked out because my elbow was a much more obvious issue at the time.

Not sure if any of that qualifies for the list...
