He certainly looked like he started his charge before the kicker started his movement on there. Incredible pace though.

Kolbe is the cousin of Wade van Niekerk (400m WR holder and one of only three men to have run sub 10, sub 20 and sub 44 for the 100m, 200m and 400m) so he was a good candidate to be a bit speedy.

Looks to me like Colby was never BEHIND the try line.

Anyway, England have picked a team to get spanked by the Saffas.

Hmm, I dunno. I tho he played it perfectly. Ramos is going to have to work on that. I guess if you're used to no one ever charging down conversions, you don't get a move on with the run up

Do you have a link to a decent view of that? The one from behind the try line isn't great but looks like he was just behind the line.

No way can you tell from the tiktok link.

Looks like he starts literally the split second Ramos starts moving forwards to me, watched it a bunch of times today as it looked early on first watch. Incredibly fast.

Isn't that what people said about the team picked to get spanked by Fiji...

    😂😂😂
Who said Fiji would spank England?
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

Looks like a bit of regression to the mean tonight. All blacks in control and cruising...

Predictions of ABs final score? 30s? 40s? Ooh, conversion missed....
  • Good god the atmosphere is flat. When you can hear the players shouting to each other you know the crowd is silent. Argentina fans need to try and lift their team.

Second try - There was no penalty offence at the lineout by the Argies, and then a clear 'truck and trailer' in the following maul.

Perfect for the ABs. Can empty the bench early and save players for the final.

Such a let down after last weekend's matches.
  • Probably be more of the same tomorrow :'(

Still got the 3rd / 4th playoff match haven't they? The game no one wants.

Pretty impressive again from the ABs

I just saw the same footage as in the TikTok link on Facebook where it seems much clearer and you can zoom in. It certainly looks like he has one foot on / in front of the try line all the time as he tracks across and starts his charge. I think being on the line is OK but in front isn’t so it’s very tough and go.

When defending on the try line, players have to be behind the tryline. Standing on it is deemed offside by referees, even though the line is actually in goal.
So logic (not that it applies in rugby (see the Newcastle try last weekend) where their winger flyhacked the ball whilst having his standing foot in touch) would suggest the same at a conversion, and again referees state, behind the line, not on the line.
  • We can already see this game isn’t going to be a patch on last weekend’s.

O'Keefe shows his blatant bias in the scuffle penalty award to the Boks. Utter joke.
