Yes.

Somehow England stole that.
But the issues of game plan, selection and belief remain huge.0 -
It can’t inspire English supporters, given who last beat them. Of course it depends which Fiji turns up, but I suspect SB would prefer to play a more “formal” side. By that I mean Wales.Dorset_Boy said:Somehow England stole that.

The best result for English rugby in the medium term is to lose next week.blazing_saddles said:

Then sack the captain, sack the coach, and get a blnk sheet of paper and start again.
Samoa a man down in the backs so England's tactic is to try to milk a scrum penalty.
As mornic as being shot clocked.
Oh, and the new head coach must be a back, not a f'ing donkey.3 -
I would completely agree with the above, my only worry is that the RFU have no inclination to do so. I have this horrible feeling that should we lose they will find some rationalisation to keep Borthwick and carry on as normal.0

You can never count out SA but I think this is looking like a France v Ireland final, have said so from pre tournament. Wouldn't complain if it was to be fair.0

Ireland appear to have an extra 2 players.ddraver said:Ireland just so good.
Scotland not really playing bad, Ireland are just that good...
I know that's not the case, it's just the way they play. The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.Veronese68 wrote:PB is the most sensible person on here.0 -
Very impressive from Ireland.
Huge weekend next week with:
Ireland vs All Blacks
France vs Saff Ifrica
2 of the top 4 going home.
Then you have
Fiji vs England
Argenitna/Japan vs Wales
The difference in quality is laughable0 -

The draw is utterly stupid.Dorset_Boy said:Very impressive from Ireland.

The gulf between #4 NZ and #5 Scotland is also apparent.Dorset_Boy said:Very impressive from Ireland.

Scottish come back is on!
2 tries in a couple of minutes!0 -
Johnny Sexton raised a good point in his post match interview.
The draw was made 3 years ago. What kind of madness is this? 6 months prior surely? The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.

That conversation has been happening throughout the last 3 years as well. Wales and England themselves at the top end at the magic moment. The plus point is that the rankings have been moving around a lot. Prior to the that they were a bit more stable and predictable which is always going to advantage top tier teams.pblakeney said:Johnny Sexton raised a good point in his post match interview.

Watching the final group game. Portugal giving Fiji a game.
I like both these sides.0 -
A good game for a neutral to watch.secretsqirrel said:Watching the final group game. Portugal giving Fiji a game.

Australia will be looking with interest.0

It's fast and exciting, everything England aren't!0

TMO review is a total shambles.
In no way did the Portuguese player dip, he was rising if anything.
But...
Yellow card is probably a fair decision so they've had to make something up that sounds about right within the rulesWe're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence

Fantastic by Portugal, dug so deep to come back at the death.
Finally a shock result, but really well deserved.
And Fiji still go through, to play England0 -
