You'd want to play poker against Almeida. All sorts of faces

Hindley having a stormer and doing his own GC chances and white jersey hopes some good. Almeida going deep to stop the gap growing. Still 6.7km to go.

Yeah Voeckleresque. Not losing much ground yet, although the gap is going out.

6k to go yet and Wilko and Tao haven't seen the wind yet.

Only 7" but the front three look so much more comfortable.

Almeida controlling himself well. Nibali nearly a minute down with Fuglsang another 10 seconds back. TGH could be on the podium this evening maybe.

Over 20" now with over 4km to go. Others well over 1 minute.

I thought Fuglsang was not a good choice for PTP after his TT performance, but I had forgotten to do it in time so I just copied everyone else. Oh well...

Almeida keeping the gap under control, but as above neither TGH nor Kelderman have done anything yet

Surely Kelderman has to make a move. He'll be faster than Hindley over the last 3km

30" now and Kelderman looks more than capable of an attack.

FCE2007 picked him and is the only person with a GC rider still in the race

This is the difference with the in form Ineos train, Hindley would have done a huge effort into the last 3km and peeled off

Nibali group has stabilized. Hindley possibly at his limit or maybe Kelderman at his.

Not looking good though is it!

I don't know who I would have gone with instead, maybe Kelderman but I hadn't thought about it.

To be fair it probably suits Sunweb for Almeida to just keep pink by a few seconds.

In my "anyone but Nibali" statement a few stages ago I completely forgot about Majka.

    Yes Tao!

Almeida is a real fighter to be fair. Still riding hard despite the faces. 500m to go.

  • Do you think the Ineos riders are generally enjoying this more than normal?

Almeida keeps pink by a few seconds.

You've got to think Sunweb could have done a bit more there.

Almeida loses 37" and holds pink, excellent defensive ride. Yet another good stage.
