    The 12pm cut off causes endless controversy. Trying to move the time around makes it harder to be sure that everyone gets a pick in. It's a clear rule. Nothing to stop any one picking at 1159 - you can all do it...

    This was my point - although changing the cutoff to e.g, 11 for the whole race probably wouldn't be such an issue.
    Problem with changing it to 11 for one race is that it confuses the message when there are 3/4 other PTPs running in parallel. And frankly it requires a level of engagement in the timings of the race that none of us really have... very happy for any one complaining to do the scoring.

    12 is nice and simple. Though it's the reason that @rick_chasey doesn't play, as he was caught the wrong side of it a few too many times ;)

    Too right. Both ways. Guys were picking riders well after the race had started (but before 12) and I was picking riders long before the race had started but at 12:05 so not counted.

    Couldn't handle that!

    I still say it should have been 11:00 for all stages from the beginning as the stages are all starting earlier than they would normally. Might be of no consequence anyway...

    A lesson for the Vuelta should it go ahead?
