Madeleine is a tough climb from the south on the lower and mid sections.
Bottom few kms of the final climb to St Martin is also tough - they're using the same back road that the Etape & TdF used last year.

We all know that current form, as with everything else, is pretty much irrelevant until the second Saturday.
Until then it's all about survival.

'irrelevant' is too strong - and likely completely refuted by a glance at the 'past editions' tab on PCS re Dauphine and Tour de Suisse

A glance at the past kind of makes my point.

The Tour de Suisse only needs to be included in your form guide, because Bernal won it last year.
Previous Suisse winners were: Porte, Spilak twice, Lopez, Costa.
    Not much Tour success there!
Meanwhile last year's Dauphine winner did take 2 weeks to crash out.

Thomas won the Dauphine in 2018 and then rode a completely incident free Tour.

2017: two thirds of the Dauphine podium DNFs. Froome 4th wins 3rd consecutive Tour.

    2015+16: Froome's double double.

2014: two thirds of the Dauphine podium DNFs.

I'll stand by the Dauphine - I did edit out the Suisse - past form is obviously not 'irrelevant'

Belgians whilst filling the time when not much happens are concerned Jumbo will turn WvA into a top domestique and he will go the way of Kwia and lose his top end in the classics.

I'm looking forward to the real battle of the Tour. Forget Jumbo v Ineos, it's Rick vs Rich x

He's not even a proper Richard. (I've always believed his was a made up name)
    Can confirm.
Rick's real name is Rick Chasse-Patate
    Jesus, you're a tough crowd.

I spent a week in hospital there with a fractured vertebra. It's bleak.

Apparently (so I was told, I've done no fact checking!) it has the highest suicide rate in France as it gets hardly any sunlight due to its location with mountains blocking the sun...

Kamna of bora attacks with formalo still 2 mins ahead with 5k still to go.

That then sends Yates out the back.
  • Bora bored.
