I mean top commitment from Lyon if he does bat, but is that really a good idea... there won't be many runs will there.

    Wow he's out there.

Not sure how sensible that is.

Still doable if England go back to proper Bazball rather than baseball.

There's been two sixes all match. When they have made the big chases recently it has been easier to score.

Big boundaries there. Injuries are likely to be an issue too.

Too much to hope that Crawley could make double figures in consecutive innings.

I have tickets for tomorrow. I'm not expecting much play.

That Starc catch looked much cleaner than the Smith catch to me. That one shouldn't have been given.

He did slide the ball along the turf though tbf.

That's a bit of a giveaway that it's been grounded, to be fair.

It was bad technique. Reminded me of footballers who get penalised for foul throws - they act shocked like they can't believe the rules are acting being enforced.

Just imagine if Stokes bats through and we win tomorrow. Can you become St Lord Sir Stokes?

Even if we got to 250-4 from here I still wouldn't be confident.

I'm sure Australia are very proud of appealing for that run out.

Bairstow about as aware of the rules as Starc was yesterday.

It's as within the rules as a mankad.

Absolutely. Fully legal as long as the Umpire agrees

And also not something that they should be doing.

Worse than a mankad because Bairstow wasn't trying to gain an advantage.

If you follow McGrath’s rationale any catch taken int he field of play before the fielder steps over the rope would be a wicket and not a 6.

Stokes is going to run out of support, Duckett giving his wicket away in almost identical circumstances to the first innings probably killed any hope.

Finished driving before the Bairstow stumping. That’s about the worst sportsmanship I’ve ever seen in any sport. It was clear he was treating it as a dead ball, sure it’s within the laws but some things you just don’t do.

It's Elite level sport. You take every advantage you can get within the Laws of the game

Even footballers kick the ball out when an opposing player goes down injured. Even in elite sport there are things you don’t do even though you can. It’s like attacking the yellow jersey in the Tour if he crashed on the final stage.

Oh FFS please spare the indignant drivel. Footballers are the lowest bar for sportsmanship ever. Diving, faking their own deaths on field... laughable.

Every single one of you playing in a local village game that got caught like Starc did to Duckett yesterday would have walked and kept walking, because it was out. Stop pretending otherwise.

If you don't like rules, don't have 'em, simple.

Fully agree with the footballer bit. And fans of cycling should probably be a little careful of slagging the "unsportsmanlike behaviour" of other sports considering it history 🤷‍♂️

Of course you'd walk. Without the video you'd have no clue that Starc rubbed the ball along the ground. With the video it's blindingly obvious. Not Out as per laws of the Game. In exactly the same way Bairstow is Out in accordance with the Laws of the game.

The Spirit of Cricket more or less only applies a club level. If something is so "wrong" then change the laws
