    Crackaphillipe....albeit 100m from the top

    (Other GC teams fail)
We're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence

    Tactically useless attack by Thomas

Yer, I mean why would he want to blow up Alaphilippe.

Bernal looking very sketchy on the descent.
  • Quintana matching Bardet's descending - gap is pretty much what it was when they went over the top.

Somehow in amongst all those attacks, Quintana out to over 6 minutes again.

He needed to go earlier to make the difference really.

I reckon Alaphillippe is going to get back on.

So why isn’t Thomas sitting on the front to slow it all down?

    Be the better teammate.

I guess it pushes Alaphilippe deep into the red and makes him take big risks on the descent. Should be there for the taking tomorrow, but then I thought he was today if they'd put the hammer down earlier.

Is this just a softening up exercise ahead of Friday / Saturday? It was too close to the top to really break JA, but pushing him to that point on a couple of consecutive days...
