His mechanics are having to add dark matter to his bike to compensate for him dropping 16kg.

Jokes aside he claimed he lost 3 kilos and put one back on and that this was the lightest he has ever been; he looks it too.

It's not messing about even before the final climb today, is it? Should the sprinters be worried about time cutoffs?

What should the second tier teams do? Sit in or attack ?

Which GC rider is going to puncture on the gravel section?

    Sep, obviously ;).

I think it will be Pinot, who will then have a bit of a meltdown, kicking his bike in frustration.

...despite only being 4 yards from the finish line

The French teams will attack, then probably head in the wrong direction.
I think they call it panache.
Rain being forecast at the finish by the ASO....

They're discussing the best snacks to grab in motorway service station Febo on Eurosport NL before things kick-off. I now feel as if the Tour has really begun.

Ignore that - he's not in the break after all.

With the intermediate sprint so early and before any categorised climbs, could we see some sprinters in the breakaway?

Medium sized break sorted without too much fuss, unlike yesterday.
Some strong riders in there, but some dross, too.

So are the rest of the team though

End could be fun, steep gravel section potentially in the wet.
