Sagan dominant, but Wout's sprint for second was seriously strong from a it too far back.

I like the new graphic they have highlighting the relative position of some contenders on the run in. Today's showed WvA very near the front with quite a way to go so must have lost his position or used too much energy too early

Lost position somehow. His top speed was way above the others at the end.

  • WvA was on the wheel of GvA, who was on but not tight to the wheel of Sagan (and lost it when he launched). Overhead towards the end of this video shows it best:

Guess the top speed disparity is because he was pushing right to the line. Fairly sure no one could have done anything about Sagan today though.

    No one's mentioned Alaphillipe yet?

Probably a bit difficult to slip into a break wearing yellow.

I dunno, just do it going Schtop Schtop Schtop, Ik find haaring echt lekker, Warr is die Fiestje? and everyone might just assume your a lost Lotto Jumbo rider...

    Thanks, shows it nicely.

It's easier to have fast speeds when you have riders in front of you.

Another enjoyable stage. So much for “dull first week” syndrome.

Yep. So much for the "giro is better than the tour" myth
