Ironically, if Hirt has been given carte blanche, it may just play into Ciccone's hand.
    Cicconi might just be bluffing.

Roglic going to be 30 seconds behind Nibali on GC. Momentum is against him, but what can he gain in the TT?

*grumble* You have to give Eurosport some credit, there are now basically no free streams worth watching... *grumble*

Nibs pips Carthy to third, not-so-superman lost some time...

Roglic loses 1:20 could have been worse

Doesn't look like he has the legs to destroy everyone in Verona however.

I think it's the weather, but I'm just not feeling this Giro.
    Awful again tomorrow.

Still another mountains stage to come before then so suspect he might lose a bit more time yet, which is good as he's done absolutely nothing since the time trial. Wheel sucked the whole way.

Bad weather in the mountains is what you want, no?

As long as it doesn't break the picture up too much.

Today, maybe. Saturday, definitely not. You want to be able to see the mountains

Immaterial. At least Hirt didn't do a Gerrans on him.

Pleased for Ciccone there, deserved that win. Sivakov did fairly well to limit his losses in the end as he got dropped early on the Mortirolo. Glad no-one went down on that descent.

Roglic has been isolated right from early on. Poor team show from Nl Jumbo.

Not sure, it neutralises racing on the descent.

Is the assumption that Carapaz will fade, or is he now in with a shout?
Hasn't shipped too much in either of the TTs so far.

2nd on stage 19 last year, so no reason to think he's definitely going to fade.

I know it was said a few days ago but Engels doesn't seem to be the most inspiring person to have in the car, I'm not convinced he believes in his man. Maybe it's a language thing.

Nibali ain't done yet and he gets stronger as the stage numbers eek closer to twenty.

As I hit send on this Wiggins launched into a rant about it. I'd be looking for a new team ASAP if I was Roglic.

I said he was going to win this before the race started and I’m still sticking with that prediction.
