Fair play to Politt though, hell of a race from him!

He had that from at least 10km out. Chapeau.

QS got 3rd as well with Lampaert and had another couple in the main chase group.

Think they said earlier that there are only 4 others, but may have misheard that.

4 men in the top 10 from QS today. Dominant, and thoroughly deserved by Gilbert.

I'd say so. Capable over all terrain, always happy to commit and looks great on the bike.

    Deceuninck - Quick-Step 4 riders in the top 7.
    No domination there then.

Gilbert - always happy to do his bit for the team and that ethic runs through the squad..
That's what makes D-QS so good.
How many classics/semi classics this year alone?

Great watch that was, really nice tactical battle over the last 30km. Enjoyable to see a genuine heavyweight winner (pardon my Frenchie). Put Gilbert on my bet slip then changed him for Stybar as I didn't think the legs would be there after last week. Also backed Kristoff heavily. Mugs game

 Here comes the bit where they give a rider with f all upper body strength, who has just ridden a huge distance over terrible terrain, a huge lump of rock to lift up

Great race once it got going, and off form Sagan finished 40 seconds down so not far off.

Well done to Gilbert can't see him doing MSR but anything is possible
