The viking TT youth conveyor belt continues to roll..
Johan Price-Pejtersen wins the u23 Euros, in a time that would have put him in the top 10 in the men's elite, same time as Remi Cavagna.Warning No formatter is installed for the format0 -

That's a very strong men's team. Might be a few DQS Belgians who don't exactly help WvA vs. Asgreen.1

The eagle-eyed among you will have noticed some obvious omissions...
Casper Pedersen og Søren Kragh Andersen (DSM)
Christopher Juul-Jensen (BikeExchange)
Michael Mørkøv (Quick-Step)
Jonas Vingegaard (Jumbo)
Kron, Bjerg and Mads Würtz Schmidt taking the last 3 places from the shortlist.Warning No formatter is installed for the format0 -
Clearly the Danish selectors knew something we didn't.

Ooh, nice little Italian victory there. The Giro della Toscana isn't the biggest race but should help to build on.andyp said:Clearly the Danish selectors knew something we didn't.

I'd definitely recommend listening to Valgren's recap of the Yorkshire worlds in the above. A happy ending, but a really, really shit day on the bike... 😉Warning No formatter is installed for the format0

Jeez - I'm gutted by this. Apart from anything else I just loved the cadence of his name, and I always treasured that thought because it reminded me that we like riders for the weirdest reasons.
37. Thirty seven.
Way too soon.1 -
Jesus that’s a shock. Awful news. Always loved watching him.
Napoleon, don't be jealous that I've been chatting online with babes all day. Besides, we both know that I'm training to be a cage fighter.0 -
My biggest memory of him was him making a bloody mess of his hand trying to get some newspaper out of his spokes/forks during the tour. The photo of the aftermath is easily found on Google.
He was only a year older than me. It's scary that these things happen."Unfortunately these days a lot of people don’t understand the real quality of a bike" Ernesto Colnago0 -
Very sad, far too young.0

Still trying to process this.
For us in Denmark, Chris wasn't just an ex rider, he was ever present as commentator in TV2's cycling coverage. He's been "in my living room" throughout all the races I've watched the last few years - grand tours, monuments, world's, the lot.
Chris was everything you could wish for from a commentator. Warm, funny, tactically astute, knew what was going on in the peloton and could identify a rider from a two second heli shot through the trees. He knew when to chat or tell an anecdote, and he knew when to bring focus back to the race. If I've ever contributed an interesting tactical observation to a race spoiler thread the chances are it came from him. He knew all the riders, most personally, as he'd just left the peloton, but also knew all their results the last few years. He was a cycling fan who became a pro racer and then a commentator, and his passion for the sport always shone through. He will be sorely missed.Warning No formatter is installed for the format6 -
So sad, and what a waste. It's only a bit of sport, Mun. Relax and enjoy the racing.0

Just read the terrible news.
