When I was at catering college you had to pass it through a ricer and then a drum sieve. Complete waste of time.

Thai green curry last night, saved money as couldn't be arsed to drive 10 miles for a carry out Thai. Tonight, no idea yet as not home till later, might be a fish supper.

Can’t remember a takeaway or restaurant meal I’ve had that was better than home cooked and worth the money. With the possible exception of fish and chips, being tricky to replicate at home.

Last Sat. BBC good food chilli but swap out the beef/pork mince for Quorn just at the end, much much better texture, oh and double down on all the spices, I like to add two whole scotch bonnet chilli's as well.

Not technically dinner more brunch pre ride lunch, omelette, air fried crispy bacon x 3, avocado, tomato with some brown sauce. I must admit I wasn't too upset when the mid ride cafe stop turned out to be unexpectedly closed.
For context that's a dinner plate not a saucer.

Had an excellent sirloin steak for tea, half price in the Asda reduced section, with roast sweet potato and carrots and fried onion, pepper and tomato.

Made a couple of nice shortcrust pies lately, steak & ale and chicken, leek and bacon. also a chicken tikka which was marinated for 24 hrs but after baking (should have fried) was dry as fook and with a slightly unpleasant taste.

Made my favourite vegan chilli and noticed a huge chunk of glass missing from my paprika jar but couldnt find the chunk, that was until this evening when i dipped some nachos and bite into a thumb sized lump of glass, i swallowed some and fortunately spat the rest out.

I had spicy sweet potato curry last Friday and actually... it was quite good coupled with home made naan bread.
Ingredients:
Onions, sweet potato, frozen spinach, chick peas (boiled for 2 mins and left to cool for 1 hour), 1 red bell pepper, coconut milk, garlic. red curry paste*, vegetable stock.
*DIY: Tomato puree, onions, red chilli, cumin. chilli powder, ground coriander, ginger, turmeric, fresh coriander.

Happen to me once when a struggle with a corked bottle of wine ended with smashed glass in the pot. Fish out the big bits before an agonising decision to bin the stew rather than risk shredding my insides. Took ages to cook as well, still upsetting to think about.

Just received our black cured Shropshire ham, into the freezer for Christmas, it was on a good BF offer! Used to get black cured ham when we lived in Suffolk, so looking forward to tasting it!

Bean stew. Sounds dull but moreish. Onion, garlic, chilli flakes, paprika, sun dried tomato, tomatoes, stock, spinach, butter beans, parmazan, cream. Mopped up with some decent sourdough.
