Kangert leaving Alaphilippe and going solo. Let’s hope he can do this.

Ah, the know-it-all Essex guy who must have started watching cycling c. 2012 has left the bar so just me and some Dutchies now.

    Nodding sagely?

    Looking glum for some reason.

Strange. Their agent won't be happy. Perhaps it's their lunch break from being Dutch?

Hope he's ok... though I thought Sagan never crashes...

Another one of those myths it seems.

    Misery for cycling journalists globally...

I thought I would check Twitter for a Sagan update. Foolish idea. One tweeter said he had abandoned another said his GPS showed him travelling at 60 kph, so he must be fine. I suppose the second could be consistent with him sitting in a car.

Eurosport tells me he is on his bike again.

Is his contract up this year? Looks like someone who has decided if he has to work for others it may as well be the winner and for a better salary.

Tactic for Movistar is wait for Kawasaki and Eggman to burn off Quintana and Landa, then wonder why you bothered having someone up the road.

French TV showed a graphic of him being 6.1km behind and doing 65kph so presumably fine (or riding with broken bones, who knows with these idiots!).
