The GC riders with teammates need to have a word with themselves for letting Landa and Bardet off the hook.

That was all a little wacky but what has really changed in the GC minus the loss of Toblerone Boy?

The difference was Naesen had been sitting on in the Landa group and dragged Bardet back

GC favourites playing silly beggers i the last 10k thinking they might be able to pinch some time

Brilliant Landa, Bardet made it back on couple of secs.

    Great ride from Dan too.

I have to say that was great. Heat, dust, suffering, pain, effort. Sport at it’s pinnacle. Bardet’s ride back on was great.

Bardet's Strava moving time must be about 2 and a half minutes shorter than anyone else's.

Great sprint. GVA was pushing hard as Degenkolb didn't put any distance into him, really.

What a rollercoaster. Huge for Dangleknob, first proper big win since that accident, pretty happy for him!

Bardet with worse tyres than Sep Vanmarcke, but both him and Landa showed what a tough job this is sometimes, I really hope that their ability to hang in there pays off this year

Every time I saw Bardet chasing back on there was a stills moto bike 10 feet in front of him...

21 out of the top 24 are what you would call GC contenders.

The other 3 are GVA, Phil Gil and Sagan

Got to give a little chapeau to the tiny climbers. Quintana especially. Never in any bother.

So, was Thomas the only Sky rider not to fall off?

Don't think we saw Rowe go down either?

A big loser today was Egan Bernal. Previously the bookies favourite for the white jersey, he lost 16 minutes.

Bardet's epic chase saves cobbles in the tour for 10 years or so....

Have AG2R gone beyond magic motors and invented teleportation. I thought Bardet was long gone and then he was back in the front group at one point before another inevitable puncture.
