    Proper racer. Nice.

Maybe 8-10s on TD, best part of a minute to Froome?

    13 secs down before bonuses.

It’s a good race between him and Yates, with I think Yates edging it now.

Yates has 38 on Dumoulin. This is getting interesting but needs 2mins (?) before the TT

Great finish that. Yates looking the strongest. Can he maintain it for the rest of the race.

He has a good reputation for being 'durable'.

Didn't realise Chaves was 3rd, almost another 1-2 for MS

Yates has that clarity of mind you get with super legs; Dumoulin doesn’t look like he has that.

All those accelerations hurt him; I think he’d rather fewer climbers around.

He’s also stopped hanging last wheel on the group too.

Why can't they get rid of Kirby, he talks utter sh1t for hours on end and gets paid for it.

    WOW ! Epic epic stage

If watching snow melt is your thing.
    The headwind crippled it completely.
Could hardly have been a duller finish.

Doumolin is def not out of the running. the TT should pop him right back into it but nicely done to Yates :)

I must admit, when Yates won on Etna I could see he was on great form but didn't quite believe that he was a genuine contender. But now he looks like the real deal.

That third week is brutal though. You have one off day and can lose 2 minutes.

And seems to have added to his TT'ing so I'm going to say he'll hang on as I reckon he'll take more time before the TT.

I am really suffering from lack of terrestrial coverage of the Giro. These threads are the only commentary I get outside the event web page.

quest on freeview does highlights I think?

why in the name of all that is good does that commentator have to keep adding Y or ie to the name of people Yatsey matty white FFS

I dont normally mind the Eurosport coverage but that is just pathetic. Like when idiots say "can i get a " when ordering something.

Yates seems like the real deal. A good climber with an almost unique turn of speed at the end, quite a good TTer and is even a good one day rider so doesn't get freaked on the gnarlier flat days. I also learnt that he likes a good curry. What's not to like?
