Who do people fancy for this today?

Bunch sprint seems to be favourite, but I just think there are a few riders there so strong that it’s going to be similar to last year. Maybe a group of 6-7 escaping on the Poggio, Sagan and Kwiato again with a small group of others.

I’m sure it’ll end up a 40 strong bunch sprint now I’ve said that.

Gawd, don't know which is the more boring.
Watching this, or England playing rugby.

People complaining that MSR is boring in the 100km before the poggio is more boring then both ;-)

The only thing that's more predictable that people moaning that MSR is boring is people moaning about people moaning that MSR is boring. ;-)

Whichever sprinter gets over the Poggio in best shape. Kristoff maybe?

Not McClay, as he's just crashed with Simon "Si" Clarke.

    Yeah but who.

I haven’t watched any TA or PN so I’m outa the loop form wise.

Well yer man Groeneweggen went pretty well in P-N

Well having had to work for the previous 4 Saturdays I am really enjoying just not doing any work, sitting on the sofa, drinking tea and watching some people in lycra on some bikes.

Sky, Bora, QS and BMC at points have been the only teams that have tried to make it a little hard.

My former-man Swift keeping his head down, my outside bet for today.

(Hmmmm, my sig keeps reverting to 2017)

(Actually, he’s scraped in for 2018)

Expecting a contractually obliged Nibbles attack over Cipressa.

Cummings also hanging out the back, but that doesn't really mean anything.

Must be al hard to be patient in MSR.

Taking it up now feels so close to the end, but it’s still 40 mins to go.

Stannard out the back. But Cipressa usually shreds far more.

This really is a wonderously ridiculous race. Race for 250 odd km over nothing terribly interesting and then BOOM, some hills. Every year I think it is so wonderously silly. I <3 it!
