Yes, stage 17 looks bananas. 65km including mountains.

ITT on stage 20 (so not a normal TT) has a steep hill in it (21%).

Oh great, will we get a red carpet again?

A relative newbie asks - what's the difference between an ITT and a TT?

Individual Time Trail vs Team Time Trial

(TT = Time Trail usually assumed to be ITT)

    Neither are worth watching

  • I think it looks alright. Sprinters stages in the first week, but apart from stage 7, not too long.

Stage 5 looks good, stage 9 has the cobbles, Alps looks pretty, Carcassonne should have a wild finish, Pyrenees looks a bit crazy which is good, then the ITT looks fun.

Going to look good on the telly, for sure.

I was hoping for Ventoux after a (now false) leaked version of the course.

I guess we cant have the Alpe and Ventoux in the same year.

May I confirm deffo no Ventoux? I am planning a Cingles challenge, so affects when I book it.

With reduced teams you'd be pretty smug if you were a team leader fortunate enough to have a teammate that can both climb, ride cobbles and time trial. Someone like Thomas, Kwiatkowski or Moscon.

    Yes.

It was one of the two sections that was cut from the stage due to flooding.

Almost don't want the shark to ride it, lest he ruin the legend.

On the basis of new information, I would like to revise my answer. No.

Once again Romain Bardet looked like someone auditioning for the role of Doctor Who
