Mmmm, I know, I'll watch some Tour of Britain.
Think what it's like having taken your 13 yo son round his first sportive (65 miles), get home and being Bath fans, watch the end of their match with Sarries, and then watch the Angry Lou! :shock:0 -

Froome - brilliant!
Nibali - had a few good digs but couldn't quite string it all together when it mattered
Zakarin - did well to be there or there abouts and nick the podium from Kelderman at the death
Contador - very entertaining in his twilight years. Not sure how he managed to perform like that in the final week though.0 -

Come to think of it, this will actually be the first Tour/Vuelta double."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -
Very nice finish to the tour. By far the best of the grand tours this season. Congratulations to Contador on his career (hopefully no returning now that he's announced it again). Sensational double for Froome. His vulnerability made this race even more interesting.
And an overall podium that I like. Like a bit of Zakarin.0 -

Really pleased Froome pulled it off (and kept us in suspense until the very end).
Against my previous better judgement I warmed to Bertie and very pleased he took this stage (just hope I don't get disappointed sometime down the road). But don't change your mind and carry on.
Pleased that Nibali never won (I just can't warm to him).
And finally... a great overall Tour... the best of 2017.“You may think that; I couldn’t possibly comment!”

Yes, of course.
No one looks a bigger dick than the person correcting someone who gets it wrong himself  :roll:It's only a bit of sport, Mun. Relax and enjoy the racing.0 -
Froome didn't stop for a sh!t in a field (to our knowledge), so no, only the 2nd best GT of the year ...Life is unfair, kill yourself or get over it.0

Oh, and I should have added...
well done to the Guardia Civil for at least trying to keep some of the more moronic spectators under control (they may not have succeeded 100% but they did try unlike most of the French Gendamerie.“You may think that; I couldn’t possibly comment!”

26 riders finished outside the time limit, including the KoM winner Villella and only person who can still beat Froome for the points jersey, Trentin.

Awkward. Don't think anyone wants an all Froome presentation. Least of all Sky.0 -
How many spaniards in the 26?0

Even if they aren't excluded, Trentin will get a points penalty, giving Froome the jersey.FleshTuxedo wrote:Awkward. Don't think anyone wants an all Froome presentation. Least of all Sky.Twitter: @RichN950 -
Hopefully common sense will reign and they'll keep them in the race. I don't imagine anyone, save Lopez would want them eliminated. It's only a bit of sport, Mun. Relax and enjoy the racing.0

Great stuff, the glory double!
Cracking way to end it for Contador. I like Millars "spread his wings and fly" comment.0
