  • Are we not allowed 34/32 gearing now as well? Blimey, I must have missed the memo.

As for team kit, I'm firmly in the "wear what you like" camp. Nowt wrong with either supporting your favourite team (I quite fancy getting a Wanty jersey) or just grabbing a bargain.

I'd personally draw the line at yellow/polka/national/world jerseys as for me they are the "earnt" ones, but if others feel differently who am I to stop them?

I'm okay as far as the the new gearing law is concerned, as I've got a 34 / 28 lowest on that bike.

    Wot? No saddle bag???

The saddle bag won't go on with the saddle set as far forward as I need it.

And the bin is facing the wrong way too. OCD trigger...

Christ! Red kit, blue bike and fluorescent yellow footwear, and you lot are worried about the wheelie bin??

Not to mention the pink bottle  Frame bag  massive frame pump  and pink handlebar tape

How can I get rid of it - it's burning my eyes

That's my 'Social ride' bike. It's all about the visibility. In a large group, it sticks out, that's the point. That pump is brilliant. It's one of these.

It's like having a track pump, but 'carry on the bike' size. It's saved many rider's hides, on more than one occasion.

But I can only see two cycle computers...are the rest in the frame bag?
One Garmin, one reserve speedo, for when the Garmin inevitably crashes. This isn't the bike with the Power meter set up.

I'm confused - do you think a large group is not visible or are you actually trying to stand out in a group.......using pink. In my head I'm hearing 'chase me'.

It's to stand out, as the one to blame / congratulate, for a crap / great ride.

I don't get paid to ride my bike, so I guess it's okay.

Not clear on why you changed Weboo's username (in the quote above) to one of a mass murderer?

I guess that you might have a bit of knowledge on folk with personality disorders as you appear to have an antisocial one.
    Harold a hero of yours.
  • To bring this back..................I live in the US. We're lazy. You don't see much team kit or WC kit because people don't exercise.

Either way, saw my first ever WC jersey on a rider. It was some 60 year old man plodding along for an evening cruise. He clearly didn't care at all whether he would ever be confused with the WC.

Never know, perhaps he WAS a WC 40 years ago. :?
