TdF 2017: Stage 19 Embrun - Salon-de-Provence, 222.5kms *Spoilers*

Tony Martin not a bad call, in fact Katusha generally - Kristoff pretty anonymous.0
-
Chris Froome feels confident enough to high five a fan (or is that DB pre-make up)

Most disappointing thing? There have been some epically dumb moments of 'teamwork' - Astana probably taking the biscuit, but FDJ losing a large part of their team in a single dumb decision also ranks highly.0

I was really looking forward to seeing how Chaves would get on, but obviously given the circumstances I feel it's a bit unfair to call him a disappointment. So instead, I'm going to go for Brambilla. He was brilliant last year at the Giro and the Vuelta, and I have literally only heard his name mentioned once in the entire Tour.
I haven't seent he whole race but Taylor Phinney seems to have been quiet and Tony Martin as well.
Little unfair - Tony Martin missed his main target by coming fourth on day 1, but he's been doing his work for Kristoff the rest of the time, and launched a doomed attack on a mountain the other day which was fun.
Taylor Phinney was in a marvellous two man breakaway, what feels like about 2 months ago that got caught in the last 2km. And wore the polka dots.
Fair enough, but also highlights how poor Kristoff has been too. He seemed like he was going to be unbeatable a couple of years ago.0 -
I'd like to see "Derny" make a hero dash for it up the final unclassified climb coming up soon for the 20 breakaway riders.================

Nope. Edvard Boossen Hagen seems to be the most fancied in the break.0 -

Please not EBH. Please not EBH. Please not EBH. Please not EBH. Please not EBH. Please not EBH.0
-
That's it then. I want EBH just to upset mfin.0
-
I liked that from Sean Kelly - Maybe he's hitting his legs because he thinks it works like horse racing.0
-
Go Eddie0
-
EBH going for the longest sprint in history. Seemed a bit odd for fastest sprinter to go early - but I suppose it is the element of surprise0
-
ITV boys waxing lyrical about EBH completely ignoring the huge tow he got off the camera moto!0
-
Roundabout with around 2km to go did help0
-
Arndt should demand a photo0
-
that turn was a bit odd0
-
Nice after that one he lost on a photo by 0.00004mm0
-
Off to have a cuppa, a shower and a three course meal before the peleton arrive.0
-
"Edvald Boasson Hagen 2.0 begins here" - Kirby. what a twàt.0
-
He's won loads of sprints this year. People were saying it was against rubbish opposition in chippers, but he's proved he really is on good form this year.0
-
I don't get it... why haven't the second and third place riders not attacked Froome all day.... its been a club ride.'Performance analysis and Froome not being clean was a media driven story. I haven’t heard one guy in the peloton say a negative thing about Froome, and I haven’t heard a single person in the peloton suggest Froome isn’t clean.' TSP0

Because it'll get shut down within seconds and waste a load of energy the day before the decisive TT.0 -
What a disappointment........'Performance analysis and Froome not being clean was a media driven story. I haven’t heard one guy in the peloton say a negative thing about Froome, and I haven’t heard a single person in the peloton suggest Froome isn’t clean.' TSP0

Yay for EBH and Qhubeka! Pleased that they both get something from the Tour...
I did spend most of that stage asleep on the sofa though.0 -
Yay! Eddie Boss.
I take it we didn't need the Klaxon?Correlation is not causation.0
