    IT doesn't seem an overly technical descent and the road has dried off pretty well so I'm surprised at the amount of crashes. There was always a risk of it I guess though with the race having so few MTFs meaning riders are potentially seeking time gaps on descents.

    There were some wet patches. But I think the lack of MTFs definitely playing a role.

    Just got home to see the Porte crash.

    This is an awesome stage!!!

    (Awesome as in extremely dramatic with regards to the crashes)

    Time gaps are really small so they must all be backing themselves, especially given the amount of favourites losing out today.

    Not convinced Dan had a second crash, if he did that's one hell of a ride with his delay after the Porte crash.

    Was thinking the same, maybe down and up in a couple of seconds but a good effort either way to be in there with Quintana.
