Need more of this - get back to the old school when perfect tarmac was the exception - there's a trend towards gravel riding/cobbles/rough terrain in cycling and no reason the Tour shouldn't reflect that.[Castle Donington Ladies FC - going up in '22]0 -
It's not just bananas stages like that; there are big GC changing stages banana skins all over the place. Week 1, week 2, week 3.
None of this 'peaking' malarky.
I'd actually be tempted back Kruiswijk for a top 5 if he's racing for that reason.0 -
Any road book details for the second stage?0

Quick Step manage to send a tasty looking team to pretty much every WT race.
As do sky in fairness, but it's less tasty and more so strong it's0 -

I thought Sky looked suspiciously like Quick Step in disguise at San Sebastian, to be fair.0 -

Has Chaves raced since the tour? Unless he's had a dramatic turnaround since I don't think he'll be anywhere.
I think this might be Froome's year.0 -

I would literally piss with laughter if Sam dumoulin walks away with a handful of stage wins.

On the other hand, Poels did look great. Ominously so for Froome's rivals, IMO0

He'll look terrible for two weeks then after the rest day ride away from everyone."Unfortunately these days a lot of people don’t understand the real quality of a bike" Ernesto Colnago0 -

Shame - it's been a hell of a run though. I suspect we might not see that record broken due to the way the sport is developing, with teams tapering riders to peak for two of the three GTs.0 -
