All went downhill after he met Choppy Warburton.

Highest place British PR finisher for over a century.

No, no. You needn't do that, but thanks all the same. If only my teachers had shown the same faith in me.

I find it difficult to put Wales of today in the same league as '71 though.

They're about in the same league as every one else in the Northern hemisphere, bar Italy, I would say.

No, I did not know that. He also holds the record for cycling between Cardiff and London on a Moulton, 162 miles in six hours and 42 minutes. Quite astonishing.

Worth a watch today's stage GT.

Pick the winner before you watch it from this list:

Kangert, Nibali, Costa, Yates, Landa, Quintana, Cummings, Izzagirre.

You need to watch today's stage too. It was thrilling

Pick the sprint winner from this mix:

Jean-Paul Van Poppel, Laurant Jalabert, Jaja's mate Wilfred Nelissen, Walter Planckaert, Andre Greipel, Mario Cipollini, Edward the 4th.

'Momenti di gloria'. (but less glorious was the high haematocrit levels).

I see that Tanel Kangert had a good go at that poor defenceless post, the b4stard.
