    Maybe he called him French.

The UCI have announced they've opened an investigation into Moscon's alleged abuse today.

Not sure if folks remember, but it's not the first time Reza has been the target for well documented racial abuse:-

Given the current spotlight upon the BC management and Portal's comments after, Sky will have to take a far tougher stance.
About time the UCI stepped up, too.

Yates takes the stage and GC lead with Porte second having bridged a 50 secs gap on the final climb. Froome nowhere, about 1'15 down at the finish.

Some stunning scenery as the sun came out but lots of fresh snow in the higher mountains.

    Froome's finished

All of them, bar yesterday, I would say.

    Cheers.

Conclusion is Froome wasn't as strong as previous years and Porte is stronger?

According to cycling news the uci are investigating team sky as well as moscon over the incident. They clearly have a team sky related tactic to attract clicks

^sky's response was odd - if they accept it happened then there's no excuse not to withdraw him.

Agreed. Apart from anything else, the optics are awful - I swear a 1 year old could run a better PR operation

    Yay! MY MAN!

Who was the BMC'er who nearly got taken out by the team car in the TT and did the angry commuter wing mirror/window banging thing upon finishing? Number 26...

And the added bonus is he'll be able to stock up on the old Toblerones.

Primoz cooking on gas. Nerves of steel that man.
Have BMC found their mojo too soon?
More people watching Yorkshire today in any one of the towns on route than on the entire Romandie TT course.

If only Kirby could sum up so succinctly. Well done.
The riders managed to make bit of a silk purse out of the organiser's sow's ear course.

In fairness to the organisers, there has been a ridiculous amount of snow there recently

In the Guardian magazine this Saturday, Froome states that he always needs a massage before a race to sort out his back.

Could this be why he occasionally gets could out by other teams racing full gas from the off...his back not having loosened up that soon in a stage?

    No.

It's roughly the same suspension Grivko got for punching Kittel in the face, so I'd say it's a proportional punishment, with the possibility of more from the UCI.

Interesting to read elsewhere ( and it's a fair point) that Sky were criticised at the time, for not pulling him out of Romandie. (so, in effect immediate suspension)
Now they are harshly criticised because his dance card appears to be empty for the duration of the suspension imposed. Of course, given injury and illness, this was subject to change.
Sky also were criticised for sending an under strength team to the Tour of the Alps and that all the WT teams sent the minimum allowed by the UCI to Yorkshire.

So, I'm left scratching my head as to what punishment folks were expecting and what they would consider appropriate.

    Serious answer tho:

He should obviously have been sent home from the race. No issue with the suspension, though if they wanted to be creative it should be without pay with his salary for the period going to a charity of Reza's choosing.

    Yeah, basically agree with this.

Reza and fdj didn't agree though, hence it didn't happen.
