25km to go 2'51" the gap0

I see that my man Grivko is in the break... I thought he'd been put on the naughty step for his altercation with Kittel0

This isn't strictly true... I see plenty on twitter who are always on about about protecting riders etc. Just this weeked there was a gif of the number of motos following the break at LBL with plenty of disapproving comments.0 -

That is odd.
Is he still your man?
Ban doesn't start until 1 May. Only Ukrainian in the pro-peloton who has been very critical of Russian's Crimea invasion... yeah he's still my man.
Whilst I don't condone violence and understand why he's got a ban, from what I've read of the events leading up to the incident I don't have huge amount of sympathy for Kittel...0 -
Under 17km to go 2'26" gap. Looks like the group have finally decided to start riding. Peloton all strung out.0

Looks like the break has it.0

Today's designated Swiss winner is Stefan Kung.

Stages like today the wearing of not-white socks is permissible, as the soigneurs would never get proper socks white again.

5 to go, gap 1'17" finally stopped raining0

Kung hasn't gone long and Grivko is definitely the more punchy"Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0

Grivko and Küng go. Winner from these 2 methinks0
-
I have sympathy for Grivko as Kittel has a very punchable face
Quite like Kung too, so either of 'em winning today will be fine for me0 -

With Reichenbach out, it's between Frank and Wyss for tomorrow's designated winner.
You can gather I love this race about as much as toothache."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -
Well that was a strange sprint. Grivko never really got going.0

At least TdY starts tomorrow. Whitby, Rob Hood's Bay and Scarborough beckon!0 -
I fear CK has a new favourite rider King Küng.
In other news we have learnt that CK has self-styled himself an expert in helicopters and Swiss roofing materials. If his knowledge of helicopters is anything to go on I wouldn't be seeking his roofing advice.
Quite a 'meh' stage, felt almost obliged to watch as the riders were putting up with miserable conditions0 -

Unfortunately, I've been ambushed into providing transport for a relative.
Judging from the forecast, it would have been another absolutely epic run, if were on Sunday.
Hopefully, there will be enough puff left inland to add an extra dimension to the Murs de Sheffield and surrounds.
