Freeman, man at centre of UKAD investigation into allegations of wrongdoing in cycling, says too unwell to attend
This can't be food. Looks like a cover up to me. For something so simple like a decongestant Sky/BC are going to extraordinary lengths to not talk.
What do you guys think?

HOW many posts ? All banging on about the same stuff.
Do you even cycle ?0 -
Oh, god. Can't you give it a 'kin rest?0

That wasn't aimed at you, Fenix.....0 -
He might be ill he might not, I have no idea.
Not 100% sure what he would have added that has not already been said many times and suspect if his version of events wasn't going to differ with what is already known. If he was I think it would come out in the UKAD report.
Be interesting to see what comes out tomorrow.0 -

NO, NOT WCF, ALL OF THE REST OF YOU
JUST!
STOP!
?? I was asked to create a thread. News developed today of Freeman's withdrawal. Are we not to discuss it?0 -

No, he just recycles."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -

It's not about "adding" but it's about the collection and collating of evidence. That is a very important part of parliament select committees.0 -

No, he just recycles.
Always getting personal. Perhaps discuss today's events on Freeman?
For the record, I do cycle, it's a very enjoyable sport.0 -

As you've already had a Hat today you can have a special Hat for that, just to wear at weekends...0 -

It's not the same stuff. Freeman (chicken wings) withdraw from the CMS beating in unusual circumstances. That is news. Why it discuss it? If you want to discuss racing, go to the face thread.0 -
Chicken Wings ? What does that mean ? Is that something about Freeman when you've told someone else off for getting personal about you ?
A thread about a bloke who may or may not have the flu or something. It's hardly vital is it ?0 -

I assume that this is a completely different hearing to the one that is due to sit tomorrow? That one is looking at doping in sport.0

Tomorrow we await more information. UKADs findings will be interesting, like Rich, I await their conclusions.
It is rather bizarre Freeman is a no-show though. Dumped it all onto the fallguy in Cope. Funny how these so called heros like Wiggins, Freeman and Brailsford let others take the fall.0 -
The plot thickens on Freeman, I sense this will end up going towards criminal proceedings, would not be surprised to see a police raid on Manchester Velodrome in the coming days as well.@CommonsCMS committee have asked @TeamSky doctor Roger Freeman to provide written evidence after pulling out of hearing tomorrow0

I think you misunderstood your therapist when they encouraged you to "mass debate" to relieve tensions - I do not think they mean't you to troll post pro race - there is a website for you which begins with p and ends with hub - hope that helps.0 -
Yeah - you definitely needed to start yet another sodding thread.Napoleon, don't be jealous that I've been chatting online with babes all day. Besides, we both know that I'm training to be a cage fighter.0

Whatever the sequence of events or the results, I don't think its a good look right now for the doctor, Sky or British Cycling.
The Dr may well be genuinely ill but it surely shouldn't have been this hard (or lengthy) to verify to the CMS the contents of a package containing medical supplies being transported across different European countries.
I hope everyone involved has their TUE in order.0 -

It hasn't looked good from the beginning. On what should have been a relative quick response to a fairly simple situation has just mounted and mounted into a bigger and bigger story mainly because no one would really take ownership. I honestly feel for Cope. He shouldn't have to be the person defending what occurred at a CMS hearing. Regardless of what he knows, kudos to him for not taking the easy option like Freeman.
Whether Wiggins doped or now secondary to how utterly spineless he has become. Weak and sneaky comes to mind. I hope he gets the balls to admit what he did, doubtful though.0 -

Wiggins 5 olympic gold medals, Tour de France winner, World champion many times over. Weak and sneaky doesn't quite fit here does it. Weak and sneaky however may be the appropriate adjectives to fit to a cowardly troll poster.0 -
If this b*llocks ruins the whole classics season I'll be annoyed - circular doping threads are for the off season!!
Still, at least WCF had the decency to put "alleged" into the topic title.
For the record, yes I agree it is a poor choice of timing to get sick on Dr Freeman's part.0 -
if only we could choose when we are ill .wouldn`t life be great .0

True, Wiggins always fell ill just before the Tour and one Giro so he could be injected with kenacort and Freeman coincidentally falls ill the day before the CMS hearing to not provide evidence.
Completely normal in the world of Sky, British Cycling and Unicorns (no offense to unicorns intended).

And if it coudnt get any worse for British Cycling -British cycling accused of blocking release of Jess Varnish's case filesLawyers acting for former Great Britain track rider Jess Varnish have accused British Cycling of withholding information relating to her removal from the Olympic programme and the investigation into her bullying complaint against ex-technical director Shane Sutton.
In December, the sprinter's lawyers sent a 'subject access request' to the governing body for her performance data, medical records and all emails and text messages sent by senior staff in the GB set-up about her.
Simon Fenton, an employment specialist at law firm Irwin Mitchell, said British Cycling's response to this request is at odds with the new approach to athlete welfare it is scheduled to announce at the National Cycling Centre on Thursday.0 -
it doesnt really matter what happened, it only really matters what can be proved happened. The rest can be ridden out.0

Got to feel for British Cycling as they have to pacify Sutton whilst not giving Varnish the ammunition.0 -

You were asked to create a thread on it ?
This is as big a scandal as TUE's?
[*]Who asked you to "Create a thread"?
[*]Why were the other threads not deemed acceptable to discuss Freeman's non-appearance in?
[*]Did the closure of a number of other threads on this self same topic not make you wonder if creating another one might not be the right thing to do?
[*]How many other threads and posts from you have been driven by someone else telling you to post?0 -
