Great Ocean Race is currently on Eurosport. Seb Henao looking leaner than I remember him, seems in relatively good form. 27 km to go. Henao attack has led to 3 out front 22" advantage

Whilst Sunday is sorted for cycling excitement, let's not forget this lovely little gem on Saturday...

    Volta Limburg

It has become a BMC vs Jumbo event in recent years, but it tackles some of the Amstel Gold route and the sportive the day after is cracker. Find a seat in one of the bars in Eijsden High Street for the start and finish and be entertained all day, or pop out to somewhere like the Gulperberg and feel their pain. Grass roots pro cycling.

    Freudian slip...

Go out to the Gulperberg to watch their pain, whilst drinking the local brew, Gulpener Bier (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gulpener_Brewery)

Lovely little race is the Limburg Volta.
They have a women's race, this year too.
Both live on the local tv channel, from 10am, with a couple of half hour gaps, mid races.

Can be easily watched on the net, too:-

Until this season, Laurent Pichon had never won a race above 2.2 in his eight year career.
Today, he notched up his third win in under two weeks, by taking the Route Adélie de Vitré.

Marco Canola ( Nippo Vini Fantini) wins this year's men's race from a break of 3 who went clear on the Camerig with about 70km to go. Easy sprint in the end up the slightly sloping cobbled main street of Eijsden. Maybe not a classic edition, but classic, crappy Dutch spring weather. :)

(late) evening is the right one - 23.30!

You're not the only one who likes the De Rosa. Apparently the team had a couple of bikes stolen from their hotel overnight  It's bl00dy rough around Maastricht. :)

Nice photos of Laurens the Wolf Man. For a blast from the past here's a link to some shots from the 2011 version, when the weather was a touch nicer:

Off to bed so I can stay up for tomorrow's main event!

Thanks for the link up thread. I turned it on to see kyrienka pulling about 8 guys off the front then continue to be on the front for about 15k. Then whenever there was an attack everyone else sat up to wait for him to catch back up to do the chasing. Very odd!

I don't know about Good Friday, but Easter Monday just got better.

The best 1.1 race in the World, the Tro Bro Leon is live on the Eurosport player (one of the auxiliary feeds) from about 2pm this afternoon.
Also on France 3 Bretagne from 1-20pm, so there should be the odd grey feed around as well.

Nibali unable to convert all his team's work in Croatia, today.
He couldn't respond to Kristijan Durasek's late sprint and had to sit up and lose 3 seconds.

Rutland Cicle Classic this weekend - usually a good race, just saw on JSCL's twitter you can bid to be in the Kuota team car:

    Would be pretty cool!
