Very much back on topic, Cerys Matthews. All kinds of wrong, especially when you look at her. But there is a certain something there and I think I need help.

No, shut up Cerys. You're just so annoying. Stay off Radio 4..........

Cerys is alright, see. It’s Mary Ann Hobbs that needs locking in a cupboard.

You don't happen to know why do you?

Longstanding tradition. You can probably trace it back to the medieval church's requirement that women should cover their hair out of modesty.

The ones who are bald and stick the hair piece to the bottom off their hat - that's the main reason why you never see Slash or Brian Johnson without a hat nowadays.

Back to Cery, she's definitely gone a bit over the top with the Botox in that picture and also looks like she's just poked her finger through the toilet paper.

Congrats to Veronese68 on getting the thread back on track - yes you do need help.

There was a Smack the Pony sketch about Cerys Matthew's hat being a medieval precursor to thongs?

Not quite. It was about hair and swimming pools.

On the subject of tennis players, I always wrestled with whether Steffi Graf would be inexplicable or not. To me, she hovers in the hinterland between explicable and inexplicable

Not so much in her current Sharp Objects role but I still definitely would.
