I can't help feeling that the twig camouflage would work better if they weren't all stood about in the middle of the road.

They're in a forest of mature tall trees so most of the foliage is up high. Small individual human sized blobs at ground level might be a bit too obvious.

Top mushroom sauce to the above.

they're also all different colours, so when you move from position to position you're gonna stand out like a, well, human bush walking from one place to another.

Some have loads of stuff on, some not, so you'll see random clumps hacking around.

Foliage dies quickly so you're meant to change t quite often - you trying that lot in a hurry without leaving huuuuuuge clumps of foliage from another area lying around.....

overall though, not a bad effoft for cam and concealement 1.

I can’t recall seeing it on any threads here but it was good to see Boris hasn’t lost his touch for a gaff since moving to the back benches with his impassioned speech praising Putin for his inspirational leadership when he meant Zelensky!

Not clicking a Daily Heil linkie but hey, no surprises. Given the flow of roubles garnered for years by Spaffer's #toryscum gang and associates, gotta pay respeck' to the boss. 'Lord' Lebedev of Siberia seems to have gone all quiet.

'Lord' effing Lebedev! Can you imagine the furore that would have emanated from the meejah, and the #toryscum fanbois on here, had, in a very very unlikely scenario, Jeremy Corbyn been in a position to appoint a member of a Russian establishment family to a parliamentary position, ignoring concerns raised by security services in the process? S666 for example would have been creaming himself.

i'm sure they are not, but if i were their DS like I'm our DS then we'd all be giggling about it.

    but thanks.

Lots of crazy videos coming out from towns where the drafting officers turn up.

In one video the women of the town basically chase them out. In another, a scuffle breaks out when the drafted men try to bring the policemen who enforced it along with them.

Today a video emerged of a draftee shooting the leader of the draft committee dead.

A whole bunch of draft centres have also been burned down.
  • Also reports that Tatars in Crimea are being targeted for the draft.

They are largely anti Russian rule so it's being seen as a kind of punishment/ethnic cleansing.
It may just be a case of not wanting to lose support of ethnic Russians/russian speakers there.

Have a google, there's another one of a guy backing his car up against the entrance of the local draft building, blocks it off, and lobs a load of molotov cocktails into the building.

The caption said something about Russia only having paper records. World's most modern army though, obviously.

These videos coming out of Russian leaders telling mobilised troops they need to find their own kit beyond armour and a gun and soldiers turning up to the front lines with no training whatsoever are pretty bleak.

Could be a turning point when the mobilised troops start returning home not 100% healthy, or not at all.

Sounds like the opening of Enemy At The Gates, where they are given 1 rifle for every 2 soldiers, and the 2nd is told to pick it up when the other one dies.

Americans also buy their own boots - they get given a grant for them.

    errrr, it is.

the minute you go in the field everything issued, apart from, essentially your dozzer, armour and helmet gets left behind.

everything else you've bought, modified, acquired.....

issued stuff is generally pretty tat. the cheapest the MOD could get.

oh - and please please please don't go stocking upon tampons to put anywhere where they aren't meant to be unless you want to get dead disease.

Yikes. All the more reason to hope Russia doesn't nuke Ukraine as current NATO statements mean NATO declares conventional war on Russia if they do. If it's that bad, you don't really want to be in a proper fight with a conventional army...
