I’d have a go, but I feel the lack of depth of field I’d get at macro would lessen the illusion of it being a forest. Brian’s Sony would have a better chance or focus stacking.
Beech leaves (still attached) in various stages of decay. The copper(iness) has come through nicely.

Good reminder I ought to do more experiments with mini forests and the Sony.

And there's me deliberately using a shallow depth of field to try and give some "atmosphere". 😂😂😂
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.

From a plane, forests/jungles look like broccoli, so it must work the other way around.🤔
A narrow DOF works OK here, so you could’ve been right with your mobile settings. (Not my pic below)

Usually by this stage of autumn a storm would’ve ripped all the leaves from the trees. Not this time, though.

A bit of a medley.
A very wet snapdragon flower. A bit of an oddity, but colourful.
A boggy willow tree?
Beach again. Darker than reality due to the ultra bright highlights.

Two failures on the depth of field, in both cases the nearest part of the flowers not being in focus... I suspect that the Sony didn't cope well with the poorish light. The last one is just nuts for this time of year, and nicely in focus.

Frosted flowers by midweek. They won't know what's hit them.

A rose and a bike. Tat.
Incidentally, I was riding down to test a prototype 'hammer' for Mahler's 6th Symphony, and just wondering if you can see the very short video here if you click the link (it's not me wielding the mallet):

Yes I can see the video. That's a big hammer.

Wrong person answer.^
The Turf Hotel appears to have lots of angles, and not many of them are 90 😬. Age and gravity have certainly added character to it.
I'm not sure that the scrolling format does this any favours.

No white stuff here.
Expecting nothing, I negated to bring a tripod, so had to resort to high ISO in the fading light. Second mistake, setting the image stabilisation incorrectly, which actually adds shake to the image. Hay ho.
Luckily these were OK, as most others weren’t salvageable.

I have found that high ISO is less of an issue now than it was in the past. Even if your camera is not recent then up to date software can eliminate noise, add a bit of contrast/saturation, and the casual viewer will be none the wiser.

I tend not to worry too much about noise and sometimes even add grain, but you’re right about denoise being better than ever, especially with AI. Access to this is limited on Chromebook.
Messing up the IBIS (focal length was set at 200mm whilst using a 28mm lens) is what did the damage today. Some were very mushy.

I've not bothered with any A.I. software as I assume is is a gateway to removing money from my pocket. Standard stuff is good enough imo, even if the A.I. version may well be far superior.

I didn’t hang around long, believing these wouldn’t come out well, what with the inclement conditions, courtesy of Bert. Surprising, that any detail was caught in the haze/spray. Must keep the faith.
Some Japanese maple leaves to calm things down.

Flower tat (taken with the cheapo Samsung phone) from the walk to the Co-op. Needed. My life today otherwise feels like it's all greyscale.

Weekend mushroom hunt. The only ones I found that were in good condition, but situated in the worst muddy, wet area, of course.
Sunset was the plan, but low clouds on the horizon said otherwise.

Bit of brick if I'm not mistaken. You can see the grog fragments (crushed brick added to the clay before firing to improve strength).

I did wonder if it was, but still fascinated that it has been worked into such a smooth shape (and above average size) without fragmenting. Almost more impressive than stone pebbles, though I don't suppose it will outlast the smaller ones.

Thanks Brian. When I was taking those mushrooms, I was wondering if it was all going to be worthwhile.
