Not so much for the photography per se, but on the subject of monumental women... this one looks a bit like she's overdone it, while her geezer takes it all lying down. Mind you, I think she had eleven children (five boys, six girls), so I think we can excuse her.

Can anyone guess what this is?

Perhaps if one felt a heart attack coming on, one could wire oneself up and get ready with the button in hand.seanoconn - gruagach craic!0

Changeable weather today. Typically, it’s changed for the better now I'm home.

Spot on. Wife does letterpress printing and we 'rescued' a few cases from an old chap's back garden. He had previously done it as a business but long retired and stuff that had been temporarily stored outside (his entire garage and house was also full of the stuff) 20 years ago was now a big stack of rotting cases with weeds growing out of them. The type has all been decanted to a big bucket for cleaning but I thought the shadows left were kind of evocative.masjer said:
Is it for print typesetting. It looks like the letter blocks have left an imprint? Then again, the rot suggests it might have had a life outside (or a damp shed).rjsterry said:Can anyone guess what this is?
This was the result of the cleaning up.

Macro fauna & flora... trigger alert for arachnophobes...

A few the wife took this morning while I was racing. I like the ‘ice breaker’ effect in the weed.

A lucky break in the clouds, so a photograph of the harbour before the boats are hauled out for winter. It always looks a bit naked without them.
Lots of seals+pups about.

Nice shades. Made a whole lot better with the inclusion of the boats. The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.Veronese68 wrote:PB is the most sensible person on here.0 -

Some angles at a jaunty angle.

More for the juxtaposition of the signage and the appropriately chunky concrete than any photographic merit.

Guessing the HDR setting was used for #3? Not complaining, it's done well.
I would have expected the Colnago to be in silhouette otherwise. The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.

It was on the phone's auto setting, so no idea what processing was done.pblakeney said:Guessing the HDR setting was used for #3? Not complaining, it's done well.

Not exactly beach weather, but the flat light picked out the patterned layers in the rock.

With a little crop that rock could either be hand sized or Uluru. 😉The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.

I got an amber ping on my AuroraWatch app which means there is a chance of it being visible to the eye in southern Britain (and greater chance of getting a photo). The info is only ever live though so may not apply when it gets dark and the cloud cover is still about 70% so don’t know whether to go out and try my luck later. It would be useful practice before my trip to Norway in November.0

Red alert now so I’m off for a drive0

Some people around here caught the aurora 4 days ago. The photo I saw was taken at sea level, too.
Good luck!0
