Every individual has to make their own choices based on what they perceive as risk.
Personally, what with personal trips, bike races and work travel demands, I make Phileas Fogg look like the master of staycations. I don't see that about to change.0 -

Attacks tend to be where there are large numbers of people in a small area - a football match would be a much more attractive target for instance.
Cancelling events like this just means the bastards win, though I could understand if tomorrow was cancelled.
Boston Marathon? Enclosed stadia = easier security checking and crowds on the main climbs are more dense than they would be at football matches.
Incidentally, I had a dream a week or so back that I was watching the finish of a major bike race on TV and just as the bunch sprint started there was a huge explosion that wiped the whole bunch out. Left me quite stressed when it woke me up and then seeing the news this morning left me feeling really uneasy about the races coming up!0 -
No Giant at DVV as they can't get half their team into the country in time due to closed airports/rail routes. Hitec also pulling their team for similar reasons.0

Good to see non-cancellations. There's previous recent stubborn-ness from Belgium, 6-days of Gent continued through the massive lockdown in Brussels in November, plus the Davis Cup just afterwards (GB team delayed arrival in Belgium).
I'm off to the Germany-England football match in Berlin on Saturday - even as a friendly I believe that's a bigger target than most bike races (due to the level of media coverage & Europe-wide general awareness)
Whatever happens with any upcoming sports events, it all pales into insignificance compared to what happened earlier today0 -

I think it was working but got chopped, CyclingHub seemed to be using it too and then it got chopped about 2.30. The CyclingHub admin said the Bike Channel said it was a 'test' only.0 -

one man break caught by chasing group with 25K and 25s lead. Now with 11k to go they have thrown it away by dithering and looking at each other and not pedalling0 -
All together with 10k to go and riding again.0
-
Apologies. 8s lead for the break. Peloton hammering it.0
-
Peloton breaking up at the front with a few escapees0
-
GVA the escapee heading for the break. 4 or 5 in pursuit0
-
GvA leading. Sorry I thought there were other riders up the road. 12s with 5K. Etixx coming to the front, so things looking up for him0
-
GvA caught in the finishing straight, Gaviria implodes, Debuscherre takes it?0
-
Gaviria's lack of top end speed means he has to go long and after such a hard race, he died well short.
