forget froome, vote for lizzie
I'd encourage everyone else to also throw their support behind an individual sportsman who gave so much for a team event this year
Sport in the 21st century - corrupt from top to bottom *shakes head*It's only a bit of sport, Mun. Relax and enjoy the racing.0 -

Disappointed once again the SPOTY Coach of the Year award didn't go to the Team Sky Pro Cycling Team bus. Clearly the best coach in sport.

This girl really is a star though
Oh Dave....0 -
Underestimate Kevin Sinfield at your peril. Rugby League fans are an evangelical bunch and they'll vote in their numbers, even non-Leeds fans. He'll be top three I reckon.
(In fact on another forum I predicted the top three perfectly)Twitter: @RichN950 -
Really? Andy Murray??
Come on Britain....
Lizzie's shoes were best supporting act0 -
In all seriousness, I'm OK with that top 3.
Andy Murray was incredible for GB, Kevin Sinfield had a stellar year to round off a great career, and Jessica Ennis-Hill did something special and everyone loves her (including me).
Coach of the year was a great shout, too. It's only a bit of sport, Mun. Relax and enjoy the racing.0 -
Voted 5 times for Lizzie. She looked stunning.0

Disappointing that Fury was so high...
He got the UKIP/godsquad vote. You only need to look at the number of 'amen' comments on various religious Facebook posts to realise that stupidity/brainwashing is still alive and kicking to a huge degree.
Quite who voted for Murray is beyond me. I have a strong dislike for the Scot for a whole number of reasons including wanting Scotland to vote for independence, the most monotonous voice in sport and a complete lack of charm and/or humour.
If I'd have voted it would have been for Jess, Lizzie then Greg.0 -

People, I think everyone's missed the important thing here. Roadpainter backed Murray at 20:1, so beers are on him.Warning No formatter is installed for the format0

Delighted to see Andy Murray win, if only to noise up all the haters in this thread. Some with some fairly ludicrous and racist comments to be fair.
Get it right up ye's!
Also the people saying that Ennis-Hill hadn't done very much - aye, alright then pal. She only retained a world championship in a seven discipline event less than one year after giving birth... piece of cake, eh?
Yeah I wanted to see Armitstead and Froome place higher but it is what it is.0 -

Er, generalizing much? Why are these two things backslashed as if related? This isn't America.
Secondly, I don't know one supposed "God squad" person ( and I know several) who would support homophobia or sexism.
Finally, Tyson Fury is a ranting loon.

Jeesh
Calm the blazes down
Murray - a 2nd time winner - is clearly more popular than some would like to think, it seems
My top pick was Jess or Lizzie
But anyone who doubts the impact on the general public of Murray's very very clear commitment to playing for GB, is living on a planet...in a galaxy...far far away0 -
Well if you're GB public, tennis is an actual competitive sport, so being good at that counts for a lot.0

No doubt Lizzie is wiping away the tears of disappointment at not winning some sub x-factor popularity contest with her rainbow jersey0

Funnily enough, variations of that are being said by fans of every sport whose athlete(s) didnt win last night (except RL fans, who seem v pleased by Sinfield's 2nd place)
And was said last year. And will be said again next year.0 -

She's probably not distraught, but I'm sure she'd have been delighted if she had won it.It's only a bit of sport, Mun. Relax and enjoy the racing.0 -
