Don't care how favourable the tactical play is, on his day he's an Ox on the bike.
to have the legs to attack even if not being 'chased' at the end of P-R or Flanders you've got to be a hitter, 170 other riders have already been spat without ever sticking their nose in the wind0 -

Bugger me, he did it again the next year and the lucky bugger can retire now as a monument Hero.
Is that what you meant DG.
I meant he won by taking advantage of the race situation. He was Quick Steps 2nd card and they played exactly the same tactic for 4 years in a row. Edwin Van Hooydonck won 2 Rondes in the same way and even attacked in exactly the same place for both.
Devolders palmeres has 3 national RR champs 2 TT champs 2 monuments, a few stage races and he was 11th in the Vuelta once. He's always raced aggressively, there isn't a ronde goes by he doesn't try something. Hell of a bike rider"In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

I'd completely missed the news that Danny Van Poppel joined Sky. Expects to be at Roubaix and Flanders, hoping for sprinting opportunities.

no chance to defend his wins and MSR and PRCavadas made international headlines in 2011 when he performed the first ever double leg transplant.
It could have been much worse obviously, but Sep just can't catch a break....a rare 100% loyal Pro Race poster. A poster boy for the community.0 -

he has not seen this clause in his contract: we train more than other teams
Seriously, this is not the best way to start the season. I hope this is not too serious.0 -

I am really, really looking forward to the Northern classics this season.
So much so I had a dream about Tom Boonen last night.
Having been the the Ronde last year its Gent-Wevelgem for me.
Hoping that the kids will make a sign saying "Tomeke Bidon?"
What's thanks in Flemish?0 -

Less than a month to het openingsweekend!
I've got my "knocked-up-in-Excel-printed-off-and-blu-tacked-to-the-fridge" Classics wallchart in place.
Really hoping for a good showing from Tommeke. Just one monument would do, not asking too much is it?kop van de wedstrijd0 -

Bahamontes put the call out yesterday... the cover shoot for their Ronde issue is today, so if you can get to the left turn between Steenbeekdrees and the Stationberg at 1230 today, immortality awaits.
Lousy work."In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"
