It's odd because you want to keep your enemies close. A load are going to tumble, Spicer is out there, Priebus may follow, John McCain must be feeling pretty pee'd off (not Government of course). The dirt is going to get dished. And they still have no effective government. Posts unfilled, and might also start bleeding votes. It will be interesting to watch, will Alaska turn democrat because of Trump? Or will it simply re-enforce support for a brave republican representative?
was watching CNN last night, they were interviewing in the rust belt, even a couple of people wearing 'make america great' hats, said they were embarrassed by his behaviour. Shep Smith on Fox, saying why do this admin keep on lying and lying, if Bannon, Preibus and Sessions forced out the whole thing will implode even quicker

Yet there's no mechanism. We end up with Ryan. Who cried when the first repeal bill failed to pass.

And, if there's a disaster for Trump, and 'brave' Republican reps stand up against him and actually do succeed in making America great again (or just steering the ship in an ok way) then I can see those reps being rewarded at the next election and the Republicans getting in again.

Was thinking earlier about the ticket, I've not looked, when was the last time a sitting President didn't get the nomination?

And there goes Priebus. At this rate they will be able to dispense with the need for chairs.

I think Trump is building up a huge list of enemies and detractors and ultimately, it will come back to bite him (in the ass).

Some rather incredible theories that McCain stage managed the whole vote for then vote against thing. Apparently, by doing so, he allowed the bill onto the floor, then killed it. Because it's a budget bill there can't be another of this type this year. (That may be session though). It's still on the calendar, it seems, but looks like he killed it. So those calling for his head when he voted yes a few days ago are now calling him a master tactician.

The extraordinary phenomenon that is the Trump administration is just like watching House of Cards. But the frightening thing about it is that it's for real.

Economist makes the rather obvious point that Trump could just order the funding to be stopped anyway, and so in practice effect what he wanted to do via legislation.

There's practical and political. He knows he has to share the blame but take the credit.

Don't bother watching the latest series of House of Cards. This is even better...... getting to the point of being a real life sitcom now.

It is actually embarrassing to watch unfold isn't it?

If this was made into a TV series people would be switching it off whilst moaning that it is stupid and completely unrealistic.

I love it when he tweets there's no Chaos in the White House.

You'd only have to do that if there was chaos there but you're pretending there isn't.
