I love that he is getting praised for being transparent and honest by releasing the email that says he wanted to get the info from "Russia and its government's support of Mr Trump". That is an impressive attempt at spin. (and as always, Hillary probably did it too.)

    Latest tweet is a beaut.

"The W.H. is functioning perfectly, focused on HealthCare, Tax Cuts/Reform & many other things. I have very little time for watching T.V."

I think he is trying to say that he hasn't heard about any of the allegations because he is too busy tweeting links to TV news stories about how fake they are.

ISIS is on the run & will soon be wiped out of Syria & Iraq, illegal border crossings are way down (75%)

hahah he's trying to take credit by association. Isis operation been ongoing for 2 years, Nobody wants to go into the US while he's there :)

Donald Trump reminds me of those bosses that everyone knows are totally incompetent but their bosses are so disconnected with the business that they never dig beyond the spin into the damage they are actually doing. They then kick the staff in the balls further by claiming credit for all the work the team has done to make the company a success in spite of them.

The only problem now is that Donald Trumps bosses are his supporters and they only get a chance to effect change in 4 years time. Given how dim some of them are it will take the 4 years for them to figure out that he is a fraud even though this was evident to anyone who studied his business affairs prior to the election.

Be interesting to know if he sat down for extended conversations with other leaders at the same dinner. He does seem to prefer Russia to us "allies". It's almost as if he does stuff just to make headlines that he can the attack...

On Newsnight last night, Trump was likened to a child in a car. The child knows how to work the wipers and the hazard lights etc but doesn't know how to actually make the car go.

From what I've read, his "meeting" over dinner with Putin sounds exactly like the kind of getting together you would have with an old/good friend. And I think that is what the leak-er was trying to get at with how odd his/their behaviour was.

Wall Street Journal (a big supporter of his and Murdoch controlled) wrote a editorial piece saying the Trump's need to disclose EVERYTHING - business dealings in Russia, tax returns, any discussions with Russia - if they really have nothing to hide.

This is after the NY Post (again, Murdoch) called his son an idiot....has Murdoch decided enough is enough?

Murdoch doesn't have much of a say in it - never did. Mueller holds all the cards at the moment and the Trumps are sh1t scared...

In theory then Trump could pardon himself? Some constitution / legal system that. And I thought a system whereby Landis could gain 30% of any penalty applied to LA is odd to say the least.

NPR politics podcast said that saying he might sack Mueller if he looks into his business dealings is like being stopped by a traffic cop, and saying "What's the problem officer? And by the way, whatever you do, don't look in the trunk."

I’ll tell you a story that’s very interesting for me when I was young. There was a man named William Levitt, Levitttowns, you have some here, you have some in different states … And he was a very successful man. He was a homebuilder, became an unbelievable success, and got more and more successful …

And he sold his company for a tremendous amount of money. At the time especially, this was a long time ago, sold his company for a tremendous amount of money. And he went out and bought a big yacht and he had a very interesting life. I won’t go any more than that because you’re Boy Scouts, I’m not going to tell you what he did – should I tell you? Should I tell you? Oh, you’re Boy Scouts, but you know life, you know life. So, look at you, who would think this is the Boy Scouts, right?

So he had a very interesting life, and the company that bought his company was a big conglomerate. And they didn’t know anything about building homes, and they didn’t know anything about picking up the nails and the sawdust and selling it, and the scraps of wood … So they called William Levitt up and they said, would you like to buy back your company and he said yes, I would. He so badly wanted it, he got bored with this life of yachts and sailing and all of the things he did in the south of France and other places … But what happened is he bought back his company and he bought back a lot of empty land … and in the end he failed and he failed badly. Lost all of his money. He went personally bankrupt, and he was now much older.

And I saw him at a cocktail party and it was very sad. Because the hottest people in New York were at this party. It was the party of Steve Ross. Steve Ross, he was one of the great people. He came up and discovered – really founded – Time Warner, and he was a great guy. He had a lot of successful people at the party. And I was doing well so I got invited to the party.

a story he told them at the jamboree...I'm sure the boy scouts were enthralled

The Scouts. Based in Chinford, founded by Robert Baden-Powell. The man is a muppet.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

Towards the end, he thanks all the scouts for coming out and voting for him.

That's before he wishes them Merry Christmas.

the worrying thing in all of this is the absolute lack of leadership in the democratic party and its ability capitalise on all of Trumps bad publicity. It seems to be only the media holding him to account :(

If that was your dad/grandad down the local boozer, they'd call an ambulance for him and he'd be "assessed".

This man has the codes, thank f*ck he wouldn't be able to recite them for love nor money.

No, you'd just have to go and get him, because "he's at it again". Come on, it's nearly time for Bargain Hunt.
