Does everyone over there obsess over Trump like the people who post here?0

No. It's just a few extremists that reside on this website.dennisn said:Does everyone over there obsess over Trump like the people who post here?
They are typically anti-Brexit, leftie wokey dokeys who whine and stamp their feet like a 3 year old child if they don't get their way.1 -

You should obsess more, I would say, Dennis. Unless you live off-grid in rural Alaska, you have skin in the game.dennisn said:Does everyone over there obsess over Trump like the people who post here?

Despite what you think about Trump, you do realise that you are comparing notes with extremists. As long as you are aware of their underlying interests then that is fine.capt_slog said:

I just find it strange that only right of center leaders get this treatment. Trump is hated more by these extremists than Putin or Xi Jinping0 -
It's like watching a dark part of history being written in front of us. And it's made more fascinating by the fact he's so clearly an idiot, but still gets support.
Happy to admit I'm obsessed.

I don't give a flying one what their interests are. It doesn't matter, because neither I nor they can make any possible difference to the outcome.coopster_the_1st said:

Someone should post some clips of Trump saying some interesting, sensible, non-inflammatory things that aren't lies.0

Well, there's the Woodward tape of him saying that Covid is a terrible disease, much worse than flu...0 -
We've got a fairly close relationship with the USA, both politically and culturally. We've been told that there's a written constitution, and there are safeguards in place to prevent illegality by the leader, and to protect the country from being taken down extremes. Turns out that's not really true - if you think that Biden is a rabid antifa leftie, that really should concern you as well.coopster_the_1st said:

Putin and Xi are also bad. I hope they also don't get re-elected.0 -
Didn't he just broker some sort of Arab-Israel peace deal or something similar?kingstongraham said:Someone should post some clips of Trump saying some interesting, sensible, non-inflammatory things that aren't lies.
It was obviously something good as it has not been prominently reported and I've just heard a headline0 -
When did you start to question this? Did you think the extraordinary rendition and torture programme was fine? What about the support for various coups around the world prior to that?kingstongraham said:

It wouldn't take much for something akin to civil war to kick off. Yet here you are dismissing any interest in politics.
What would it take for you to sit up and notice the correlation between Trump and the current US crisis?

Transactional as always - selling them weapons to protect them against Iran in return for normalising relations, but that's not really a criticism.
Of course, he has followed it up by saying that Jews in America should thank him for helping "their country", but he's always going to do something like that.0 -

We know Trump wants to announce the distribution of the vaccine ahead of the election for political reasons.
We also know the Democrats, and those extremists on here, will not want this to happen, again for their own political gain.

Problem is that if you lie about literally everything for political gain, then people are not inclined to trust you when you say it's safe at a politically convenient time.
Out of interest, which extremists on here do you think would not want a safe vaccine to be delivered as soon as possible because of the US election?0 -
Well, to be honest I simply have pretty much zero interest in politics. It's really hard to work up interest in something that bores you.First.Aspect said:

So you are too bored to interact with something that affects virtually every area of daily life? I get being bored with politics but ultimately people need to take ownership for the decisions that affect them.dennisn said:

Trump supporters holding up MAGA signs suggests they don't think America is great which reflects poorly on the President they helped elect to do that. It might be a good slogan when trying to take control from the opposition, not so great when you've run the country for the past 4 years.1
