I caught about a quarter of an hour of it last night. You'd say incredible if it wasn't exactly how you expected.
My favourite moment was when he interrupted a reporter before she'd asked her question, rambled on for about 5 minutes, then when she said "can I ask my question now?" said "you've already had ten minutes, sit down." She didn't.
Overall, it reminded me of Lou Reed on "Take No Prisoners" when "Walk on the Wild Side" becomes a rambling 15 minute monologue about all his obsessions, ranting at journalists, and every now and then returning to the tune.0 -

This is like one of those private Trump performances you read about from 17 anonymous Washington Post sources, except he's doing it at a press conference.“New York has the haircuts, London has the trousers, but Belfast has the reason!0 -
This is a good read looking at how one administration hands over to another, or rather how it should work and why it didn't with Trump.

Interesting that Christie appears to still have some sense of public duty, and quite revealing how much of a man child Kushner is to get him sacked.1985 Mercian King of Mercia - work in progress (Hah! Who am I kidding?)

The method of his execution was unsurprising: Trump always avoided firing people himself. The man who played Mr You’re Fired on TV avoided personal confrontation in real life.
This is the best bit for me. It suggests that Trump will never press that big red button himself; he will get someone else to press it and they probably won't because they aren't Steve Bannon.0 -

Sheesh! I've just quickly read that and .... erm ... wtf?! How has this guy survived? He spouts complete nonsense - seemingly off the cuff - almost the ramblings of an insane person - yet he's still in office ... the UN laughs at him and he brushes it off - and anounces that China is his best mate ... although probably not now, but at least the respect him and his exceeding large brain ... I'm surprised we didn't feel China collectively fall to the ground in hysterics ...0 -
The problem is you are bunch of bed wetting lefties who go weak at the knees for politicians who schmoose you with their PR sanitised bvllshit. Trump a businessman who mixes things up a bit to get America the best trade deals is mocked.
What's he done wrong so far? I don't see the US economy tanking!0 -

We're not all bed wetting lefties ... and I don't like politicians in general - they're usually full of lies ...
But DT is on a different level of lies and everything I see (although it's quite selective) is of him praising himself over and over again ... I don't quite know how he's got there or how he manages to stay there - I rather suspect it's money and his unfaltering belief in himself.
I think the US is surviving DESPITE their president - not because of him...0 -

Ok stop laughing and actually answer the guy.
Well apart from nepotism, cronyism and potentially other isms too numerous to list he's got a personal style that's infantile and unworthy of his position. He's tried to undermine the constitution (apparently) and there's an unstable approach to international relations. He's spent more time away from the job on his various golf courses at huge expense compared to the off duty activities of past presidents. He's tried to undermine a legitimate investigation, sacked highly capable investigators in the process and is still trying to stop it. He has a public speaking style that's immature and self aggrandizing and as a result has made himself and his position a laughing stock.
That's just off the top of my head. Would anyone else care to continue this to explain what he's done wrong rather than just make laughing emoji?0 -

I haven't got time to read all that faux twaddle. Again what about the economy? That's what counts.
He's instigated trade wars that have forced the US government to bail out farmers to the tunes of billions. These bail outs have been funded by deepening the national debt because the funds have been borrowe3d from the people he has caused the trade wars with.
He has instigated massive tax cuts for the rich that are being funded by taking money from Medicare, veterans, the military, schools, etc.
He hasn't actually increased the economy at all - its been rising since Obama's first term.
His claims about "unprecendented" economic growth do not match those as experienced under Obama.
Essentially, he's not very good at the economy stuff either.Postby team47b » Sun Jun 28, 2015 11:53 am

even though i've got better things to do than answer trolling questions
He has appointed numerous convicted felons.
He defended those felons when they were arrested
He stabbed those felons in the back when they were convicted
he has defended and vocally supported numerous paedophiles and sex offenders
He instigated a policy that separated families from their children
This policy put children in cages
This policy has now lost children in the system
He has lied repeatedly about, well, everything really
He has caused the US to be a laughing stock on the world stage.
That's amongst other things.
Hope that helps.Postby team47b » Sun Jun 28, 2015 11:53 am

What about it? It has continued on a steady upward trend around 3% pa since 2012, dipping slightly the year Trump was elected. What effect do you suggest he has had.1985 Mercian King of Mercia - work in progress (Hah! Who am I kidding?)

If you weren't all so obviously blinded by the bias agenda of the media I would be bothered to argue with you. Clearly it's pointless discussing a business approach to governance.0
