They caught the crashes on to cobbled climb, but that's about all. Heli is so far away you can't make out the countries let alone the riders.

Great last few kms, but the rest of the race - deadly boring. Not sure what this all means for the pros. The last few kms are selective, but the long flat section will allow pretty much any pro to get back into the group. Still, those last hills, could even be Gilbert territory
A few drops of rain at the end and immediately a couple of bad crashes

Was just looking for highlights and found this gif of a moto getting in the way yet again. Sounds like there weren't even very many of them on the race judging from the comments earlier in the thread and they still manage to do something like that...0

They'd have wanted to show off that monument and the big wide lanes, but it makes the circuit way too long. 10 or 11 km with a much quicker repetition of the hill zone would have been better. Qatar next year....i reckon a big group gallop for the men.

Still, encouraging it wasn't a bunch sprint. In Ponferrada all the minor categories were bunch sprints, but the pros much more selective with someone like Kwia winning0 -
